Drip, drip... I turned around to see a sedan slowly driving up from behind, the gatekeeper saw it and immediately stood up straight, saluting the car from a distance.
The sedan seemed familiar, and when I looked at the driver's seat, I was surprised to find it was Director Cao from the Disciplinary Office.
Director Cao stopped the car at the entrance and rolled down the window.
He glanced at the package I was carrying on my back, and then shifted his gaze to the gatekeeper.
"What's going on?" Director Cao asked in a stern voice.
"Report, Director, this kid was trying to go out, but I stopped him. Right now, there's a murderer at large outside, and for the students' safety, the principal has ordered that after dark, no student should leave the school," the gatekeeper, standing ramrod-straight, seemed to become even straighter as he explained to Director Cao with a smirk.
