"Quick, that's Zu Mingzhao's voice," I shouted to Wang Duo and hurried toward the biology lab.
As I stepped into the lab, the smell of formaldehyde hit me, a scent I despised that made me feel nauseous. I swept the flashlight around and found the night-time lab somewhat unsettling, with jars containing various animal corpses reflecting an odd light under the beam.
"Zu Mingzhao, where are you?" I had clearly heard Zu Mingzhao's voice just a moment ago, but after scanning the room, I couldn't find him. Had he been scared into fainting in just this short time? What on earth had he seen? His voice had sounded very frightened.
"What's the matter, didn't find him?" Wang Duo entered the lab after me, hearing my shouts for Zu Mingzhao and asked in confusion.
"No," I nodded and continued searching for Zu Mingzhao in the lab.
The biology lab was not very large, roughly around four hundred square feet. Despite several rounds of searching, Zu Mingzhao was nowhere to be found.
