Three days later, at the tail end of May, Lu Ban received a call from Thomas Lee.
"Mr. Lu, I've seen your movie,"
With the first sentence, Lu Ban already knew the purpose of this call.
"How do you feel about it?"
Lu Ban was neither hurried nor slow.
"I... I don't understand, but I'm greatly shocked. Your film is truly astonishing. I've never, ever seen such a unique horror movie. It's as if I was there myself. Those special effects—I never knew domestic effect teams could produce such effects..."
Thomas Lee was still somewhat in a daze.
"Forgive my boldness, Mr. Lee, but which one did you watch?"
Lu Ban asked.
"I've seen them all, Mr. Lu. I've watched both of your movies, and your earlier works too. For these works, I just want to say, genius, simply genius. It's hard to imagine someone could actually create such films."
Thomas Lee was not stingy with his words of praise.
"You've seen them all... Then that reaction is indeed quite severe."
Lu Ban murmured to himself.
