Healing smiles enveloped Cannes.
Ever since the premiere of "Peaceful Days in Spring," the streets and alleys of Cannes, all sorts of places, had gradually become filled with such smiles.
These smiles, to say they were warm sunshine, carried a bit of bitterness; to say they were sad and sorrowful, were very gentle. When you saw such smiles on the street, you would think that these people must have suffered some kind of grief and hardship, but they had already come out of it and were now facing life with a more positive attitude.
