"Eating alone is no fun, no motivation," Chang'e pouted. "And aren't you hungry?"
Qin Shou patted his belly and said, "Just look at it, all round and plump. The stuff I ate before was too nourishing, I've been stuffed ever since. So go ahead and eat, I'm really not hungry. Otherwise, I would've started gnawing on tree bark long ago."
Chang'e was taken aback for a moment, thought about it, and then said earnestly, "It's good that you haven't given up on yourself, I'm really afraid that one day I'll wake up and you'll be gone."
At this, Chang'e's eyes reddened.
Qin Shou quickly said, "What are you talking about? I'll live well, always by your side."
"Really? It's a promise!" Chang'e said.
Qin Shou laughed and said, "Really! It's a promise!"
Chang'e was immediately cheered up and said, "You eat some too, I've been picking them for a long time. You don't know, these osmanthus trees are getting trickier and the flowers are growing higher and higher..."
Qin Shou stroked his chin and began to consider the issue of future food.
Though Wu Gang had magic treasure on him, Qin Shou's repeated underhanded tactics meant that the other side was definitely on guard; he wouldn't have many more chances to take advantage.
Moreover, Qin Shou couldn't really strip Wu Gang naked... that would be too unscrupulous.
"Oh well, if all else fails, I'll just have to eat my pocket knife to fill my stomach. As for after that, I hope Heaven drops down a few more ham sausages..." Qin Shou muttered to himself.
To make Chang'e happy, Qin Shou also symbolically ate some osmanthus, and sure enough, Chang'e ate with even more joy.
In the following day or two, Qin Shou was still very full, but he still gnawed on tree bark every day. After all, Yuan Qi is consumed every day, eating some would replenish it and extend the time before starvation...
One day, Qin Shou gnawed on tree bark all night, rubbed his belly, and seemed to be getting hungry. After much contemplation, Qin Shou headed into the depths of the forest, muttering as he went: "Gang, I'm coming, did you miss me?"
"Achoo!" Wu Gang sneezed and looked around, frowning, "What kind of demonic wind is blowing today, my feet feel chillingly cold."
Speaking of feet, Wu Gang subconsciously looked at his right foot wearing only a half shoe, his foreboding feeling intensified, thinking: "That damn rabbit isn't coming again, is he?"
Just as this thought crossed Wu Gang's mind, a familiar voice rang out.
"Gang, what are you up to? Miss me?"
Almost reflexively upon hearing this voice, Wu Gang took off his shoe, tied the shoelaces together, and hung them around his neck.
He tightened his trousers and gripped the handle of his axe before he turned around, grinned, and flashed a set of pearly white teeth.
With a forced smile he said, "Damn rabbit, what are you doing here?"
Qin Shou spread his hands and said, "Don't get so worked up. As neighbors, I just came to check on you."
As he spoke, Qin Shou's eyes scanned over Wu Gang, seemingly finding no place to get his teeth into.
Wu Gang said, "You don't need to check on me, just keep your distance."
Qin Shou spread his hands again and said, "Come on, don't be like that. The saying goes, 'better to reconcile than to persist in hostility.' Why hold a grudge over such trifles? We still have many days to get along in the future."
Wu Gang chuckled dryly and said, "I've known you for just a few days and I'm already barefoot. You say we have long days ahead? What are you planning, to leave me without a shred of cloth? I'm telling you, keep away, or don't blame me for being impolite!"
Wu Gang waved his big axe!
Qin Shou fell silent, but instinctively glanced at the axe, noticing a clear bite mark on it!
His eyes suddenly lit up; it seems the death of a silly rabbit was related to this bite.
However, the silly rabbit had also used its life to prove something to him... that the axe was edible!
Seeing Qin Shou's gaze fixed on his axe, and the sparkle in his eyes, Wu Gang immediately felt a chill and quickly hid the axe behind him, saying, "Chang'e is coming."

As soon as Qin Shou heard, he subconsciously looked back, followed by a whoosh at the back of his head!
"Again?!" Qin Shou quickly turned around and grabbed his shoe!
Instead, a shiny, bare foot came flying at him, bang!
Qin Shou turned into a ball of flesh and flew into the sky...
"Little guy, fly away!" Wu Gang chuckled, "Pretty plump butt there, the kick felt quite good."
Just as Wu Gang finished speaking, he looked down and his forehead was instantly lined with black streaks! He noticed that there was a small piece of fabric missing from the leg of his pants!
"Damn rabbit, you really took a bite!" Wu Gang cursed.
At the same time, Qin Shou landed on the ground with a smack, rolled over, got up, and conveniently chewed and swallowed the piece of fabric from the corner of his mouth, then wiping his mouth he said, "We were supposed to negotiate, but you had to kick me, so that bite is like interest for compensation! Now it's time to really compensate!"
Having said that, Qin Shou took off running back.
Wu Gang finished cursing, only to see the rabbit storming back, with enemies meeting, their hatred was exceptionally palpable!
So the rabbit immediately aimed for his target!
Wu Gang quickly bent over to roll up his pants, to avoid another nasty bite!
In this lifetime, Wu Gang thought he had it rough after angering Emperor Yan, who deprived him of his Mana and cast him to this barren land,
he never imagined he could encounter an even rougher situation!
At least Emperor Yan gave him clothes, but this rabbit seemed intent on stripping him bare!
Seeing this, Qin Shou noticed Wu Gang had hitched his pant legs up to his thighs, revealing a leg full of hair, which made him especially dizzy, and he shouted, "Wu Gang! Do you even count as an Immortal? You're hardly covered, what about your image?"
Wu Gang shouted back, "Screw off! If I take it off, I'll truly be left uncovered! Little one, if you dare come over here, I'll make you fly even higher! And farther!"
Qin Shou saw there was no chance for another bite, but a clever idea struck him.
No chance for a bite?
He could strike with his hands!
With this thought, Qin Shou chuckled hehe to himself.
This laugh made Wu Gang's whole body bristle; he felt like he was missing something important.
Qin Shou cracked his wrists and said, "Little Gang, are you going to deliver your pants or shirt to me yourself, or should I take action myself?"
"Why should I give them to you?" Wu Gang asked.
Qin Shou replied, "Why? A perfectly good pair of pants turned into shorts by you, that's an insult to them! If you don't treat them well, of course, I have a reason to rescue them!"
"Pah! It's my pants, I'll wear them however I want. If you have guts, come and take them; otherwise, you can write Wu Gang's name backwards!" Wu Gang challenged.
Qin Shou responded, "Very well, here I come!"
Qin Shou dashed forward.
Wu Gang sneered and kicked out his leg, hitting his target!
"Fly away, rabbit!" Wu Gang watched the rabbit flying far away and burst into loud laughter.
However, he saw the rabbit muttering something in its mouth but did not hear it clearly.
