Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 It's Just So Cheap_1

The axe stopped one centimeter away from Qin Shou's forehead, and Wu Gang glared at Qin Shou with eyes full of incomparable rage and ferocity. Qin Shou, on the other hand, still had his eyes wide open, completely motionless, without a ripple in his gaze!

"You're really not afraid of dying?" Wu Gang asked.

Qin Shou still didn't utter a word, motionless, righteous, and utterly fearless!

"Damn it... fine, you're tough! Just tell me, what the hell do you want to do!" Wu Gang put away his axe, sat down opposite Qin Shou with a pissed-off look on his face, grabbed a chunk of osmanthus wood, shoved it into his mouth and chewed it like sugarcane. Clearly, he dared not kill Qin Shou.

Only then did Qin Shou slowly sit down and said indifferently, "It's simple, I want to become an Immortal! Second, I want Yuan Qi, the more, the better! Of course, if you're willing to enlighten me, transferring me a few hundred million years of cultivation power would also be acceptable."

"Pfft!" Upon hearing this, Wu Gang spat out the wood chips in his mouth.

Qin Shou quickly ducked, and the wood chips hit his ears instead. He didn't mind and shook his ears, asking, "How about it?"

"Are you friggin' robbing me?" Wu Gang exclaimed.

Qin Shou blinked his big eyes looking at Wu Gang, and as Wu Gang stared into those big eyes of the cheeky rabbit, he suddenly realized that this guy was indeed robbing...

"Kid, do you think it's that easy to become an Immortal?" Wu Gang sat cross-legged in front of the rabbit and said.

Qin Shou didn't say a word, just quietly stared straight at Wu Gang.

Wu Gang said, "Alright, let me give you a crash course in common sense, Immortal is not just one thing, a god is a god, an immortal is an immortal. A god is someone who works for the Jade Emperor, only an immortal is truly carefree."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou immediately said, "I want to become an immortal!"

Wu Gang subconsciously touched his axe but ultimately held back and said, "With your puny physique, become an immortal? You're kidding! Besides, if your illness isn't cured, you won't live much longer."

Qin Shou was shocked when he heard this and exclaimed, "Won't live much longer? What do you mean by that?"

Looking at Qin Shou's panicked expression, Wu Gang laughed and said, "Heh, I thought you really weren't afraid of dying."

Qin Shou rolled his eyes and said, "If I can avoid dying, who would want to die."

Wu Gang said, "Fine, then I'll tell you how you're going to die."

"Pshaw! You're the one who's gonna die! I have endless lifetimes ahead!" Qin Shou spat out disdainfully.

Wu Gang simply laughed, not getting angry at all, looking rather pleased in fact.

Looking at Wu Gang's behavior, Qin Shou thought: Could this guy have been trapped on the moon for so long that he turned into a fool? I insult him, and he's still happy? A masochist?

Wu Gang had no idea what Qin Shou was thinking. Presumably, if he knew, he would've likely sent him to the Western Heaven with his axe.

Wu Gang sorted out his thoughts and then said, "Your rabbit body is not that of an ordinary rabbit, it's said to have quite the origin. However, your nature Yuan Qi is deficient, and you're weak. To put it bluntly, you had malnutrition from birth, followed by an inability to eat your fill later on. Nutrition couldn't keep up, your body grew day by day, and its function consumption became ever greater. When the nutrition you absorbed was completely insufficient, your organs would age and thus lead to death."

"Although you nibble on trees all year long to absorb their Yuan Qi and prolong your life, how much Yuan Qi can an osmanthus tree contain? At most, it's just a few more days of life... If it weren't for that girl who came later, who repeatedly used her own vitality to sustain you, you would have already died."

Qin Shou felt heavy-hearted upon hearing the beginning, and when he heard the latter part, his heart trembled, exclaiming, "What? Chang'e used her own vitality to save my life? Does that mean what I absorbed wasn't her Yuan Qi?"

Wu Gang shook his head and said, "It is Yuan Qi, but the girl doesn't practice cultivation. She just relies on her special constitution, which allows her to automatically absorb the Yuan Qi lingering between heaven and earth and store it in her body. However, the little Yuan Qi she absorbed is not enough to replenish what you lack. Moreover, as you grow older and your needs become greater, her Yuan Qi has already become insufficient. But with your peculiar constitution, once you fall into a coma, under the drive of the instinct to survive, you would fiercely swallow any energy you could."

"When the girl's Yuan Qi was depleted by you, naturally, you started to absorb her life force. She must be aware of this as well, but she still persisted for so long; it really wasn't easy for her."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou's expression became extremely solemn for the first time as he said, "She knows?"

Wu Gang replied, "It's like cutting off one's hand to cook it for someone else to eat. Even a fool would know their vitality is being drained."

Qin Shou sighed and asked, "Is there any way to cure my illness?"

Wu Gang snapped his fingers and said, "When it comes down to it, it's both simple and difficult. Simply put, as long as you replenish your deficient Yuan Qi and vitality, your problem could be cured, and you may even have the chance to become an Immortal. The difficulty lies in the fact that you were born in such a place where the Yuan Qi of heaven and earth and vitality can be said to have reached their lowest point. Even if you devoured this planet, it probably wouldn't do much good. If I were you, I'd find a deserted place and just die quietly to avoid dragging that girl down."

Upon hearing this, Qin Shou felt a weight in his heart, and his two large ears drooped, lamenting, "As I thought, I'm fated to hold others back... Do I really need to find a place to die quietly? But... I'm not willing to accept this!"

Thinking this, Qin Shou stealthily glanced at Wu Gang, who happened to be stealthily peering back. Seeing the sly glint in Wu Gang's eyes, Qin Shou thought, something is not right!

But he couldn't quite put his finger on what was amiss.

That didn't matter much, as Qin Shou had his own methods. He grinned broadly, his mouth splitting into a three-petaled smile, and said heheh, "Wu Gang, are you an Immortal?"

Wu Gang lifted his head and said, "Of course, a genuine Immortal!"

Qin Shou asked with an admiring look, "Then aren't you blessed with a longevity comparable to Heaven?"

Wu Gang said, "Of course!""

No sooner had these words left his mouth than Wu Gang felt something was terribly wrong—he seemed to have walked right into a trap!

As soon as Qin Shou heard this, he sprang up on his hind legs, clapped his front paws together as if they were hands, and said, "Isn't that perfect? Immortals have Yuan Qi, Immortals live for centuries and have vigorous life force, so why don't you let me have a couple of breaths?"

Upon hearing this, Wu Gang rolled his eyes and blurted out, "Get lost, don't even think about it. There's no way, absolutely not!"

After that, Wu Gang got up and was about to leave.

Seeing this, Qin Shou raised his eyebrows and shouted, "Is that the Jade Emperor?"

Wu Gang turned his head instinctively to look back, and then felt something tugging at his pants. He looked down to find that the damned rabbit had climbed up his leg and grabbed his belt, shouting, "If you don't let me take a breath, I'll cling to you and never leave!"
