Everyone in the room turned to look at the door.
The knocking was rude, almost as if intending to break down the door. It was quite displeasing.
Jiang Yuxin frowned. "I'll get the door."
What a rude person. Have they no manners?
Jiang Ruan didn't say anything. She merely lay there lazily, squinting in that direction, her fingertips drumming lightly on her arm.
Jiang Yuxin reached the door and opened it without looking through the peephole first, she stared at the scene outside and paused. There were seven or eight people standing outside the door.
The man leading the group was tall.
Probably about 1.9 metres high, with dark brown hair, Western features, deep-set eyes, and a high nose. He looked solemn.
Jiang Yuxin felt an involuntary jolt of unease in her heart.
"Who are you looking for?"
"Is Miss Jiang Ruan here?"
The man spoke, his Chinese very fluent and without any accent.
