She was watching him intently.
Fu Chi lifted his hand, gently tapping her forehead.
"What are you thinking about? You seem so absorbed."
Jiang Ruan came back to her senses, silently cramming a piece of watermelon into her mouth, and laughed naughtily, "Just thinking about some colourful thoughts."
"Do you want to share?"
Fu Chi stared at her for a long while before he finally laughed, and gently tousled her soft hair.
"Looks like you're back in good spirits."
Jiang Ruan hummed in acknowledgment.
She leaned towards him, still munching on her watermelon, and laid on his chest, delivering a quick peck to his chin.
The skin there immediately felt cool and moist.
With the sweetness of the watermelon.
"Isn't it sweet?" Jiang Ruan looked up at him, smiling freely, her charm blooming unabashedly.
He looked down at her red, glistening lips stained by the fruit juice, his slender fingertip slowly tracing her lips, "Sweet or not, it must be tasted."
As the words lingered.
