A sharp alarm sounded within the building. Its screech was especially piercing in the quiet space, bringing a sense of imminent unraveling to the already tense atmosphere.
Shi Tingbai was already somewhat nervous, so at the sound, he flinched, stepping back involuntarily. However, Lu Yiyu was already by his side, reaching out and grabbing hold of his arm.
His brow furrowed gradually.
"Quite cautious, aren't you?" he sneered.
Was it a high sense of security, or a guilty conscience?
"Run!"
Shi Tingbai understood that some sort of trap must have been triggered to create this situation. He grasped Lu Yiyu's hand and began sprinting for the exit.
However, upon reaching the door, they could already hear the chaotic footfall within the corridor.
A woman's voice echoed within the large, empty space.
"Quick! Someone broke in, don't let them escape!"
Lu Yiyu narrowed his eyes at the sound of the voice...
"They're coming, what now?"
