The huge office was filled with all sorts of valuable items: calligraphy, paintings, celadon pottery, a veritable feast for the eyes.
It was tastefully decorated, but it also exuded a strong aura of capitalism.
Directly in front, there was an antique wooden desk, finely carved and incredibly valuable.
This office, permeated with the smell of money, suited Jiang Ruan's taste perfectly.
She looked around cheerfully, then skipped over to the sofa and sat down, bouncing lightly on the plush leather. She then turned her attention to the woman who'd followed her in.
"You've been away on a business trip for quite a while," she said.
Jiang Fei poured a cup of tea for Jiang Ruan and took a seat beside her. Her typically icy expression softened considerably.
"The project at headquarters required my attention, so I've been delayed," she replied.
Jiang Ruan took a sip of tea, laughed lightly: "That old fox really knows how to exploit you."
