Four uniformed police officers walked in through the main entrance.
A few more junior officers followed them from outside.
Everyone was taken aback by this scene.
Outside the door, Shi Tingbai stepped forward with the heels of his shoes, looked at the police at the entrance with a frown, and slipped in through the side.
He immediately spotted Jiang Ruan sitting in the middle.
She was still sitting cross-legged, swinging her Martin boots ever so slightly, and remained in her usual ruffian style. With no expression on her small face, she moved the candy in her mouth from her left cheek to her right.
She stared quietly at him... and the police behind him.
Shi Tingbai looked back at the police behind him, then strode over to Jiang Ruan and asked in a frown, "Hey, Jiang Ruan, why didn't I see you yesterday?"
Jiang Ruan said nothing, a smirk playing on her lips, but her eyes were cold.
