Fu Chi walked over.
He draped a shawl over Jiang Ruan's shoulders, enveloping her in the warm, soft fabric. He followed her gaze in that direction.
The snow was falling heavily now.
In just a few minutes, the ground was covered in a thin layer of frosty white.
"Shi Tingbai?"
Jiang Ruan jerked back to the present, nodded her head, and then closed the door once again, blocking out the piercing evening wind.
"The Shi family matter is entirely handled by Lu Yiyu. The road ahead for both of them is likely to be tough."
Shi Tingbai's character is rather stubborn. The truth to him might be like thunder from a clear sky. Even if he knew that what Lu Yiyu did was right, he may not necessarily forgive him.
Fu Chi had no particular opinion about this.
He lowered his head to warm Jiang Ruan's cold hands.
"It's complicated. The issues with the Shi family are serious, the amount of money involved is huge, and the lightest possible outcome for Shi Guanlin is life imprisonment."
