When Tie Hailan arrived, she saw He Su sitting by the bed with a soft cushion behind her. A blanket covered her legs as she stared vacantly at the courtyard outside the window.
"He Su."
Tie Hailan called out to her. He Su snapped out of her reverie and turned to look at Tie Hailan with empty eyes.
Tie Hailan felt both disappointed and helpless, but she understood that He Su's ailment was of the heart, and no amount of medicine would help. Only 'Phoenix Blood' could cure it.
"What on earth are you doing? If you really want Phoenix Blood, I can help. I, Tie Hailan, may not have many skills, but I am capable of this much."
He Su looked down and remained silent.
Tie Hailan kept her gaze fixed on He Su for a long while.
"Well then, wait for my news!"
He Su was startled, and when she looked up, Tie Hailan had already hurried out the door.
