Even though Chaoyang heard that Uncle Huo wasn't blaming him, he still felt somewhat anxious as he turned his head to look at An Lan.
Just then, An Lan reached out her hand and deliberately ruffled Chaoyang's little head a couple of times. The normally smooth and obedient hair, now frizzy due to static, stuck out in all directions, leaving Chaoyang looking bewildered at An Lan, motionless while she mussed up his hair.
The usually mature Chaoyang had turned into a helpless little pitiful creature under An Lan's hands, prompting her to laugh out loud involuntarily.
"Why would a little kid like you worry so much? Could you really force me to accompany you to look for a school? Your Uncle Huo isn't an unreasonable person. Be good, just focus on studying well and grow up happily," she said.
Looking at An Lan's smiling face, Chaoyang felt inexplicably more relaxed, and he nodded vigorously, "Mhm!"
