An Lan and Zhang Ya were waiting at a red light when a sudden bang came from the rear, and both of their bodies jolted forward uncontrolledly. Thankfully, they were both wearing seat belts and were not seriously injured.
"What… what happened?" Zhang Ya's voice trembled, and An Lan, too, was frightened pale by the accident. She twisted her head to look behind and saw that a red BMW had crashed into the rear of her Rolls-Royce.
"We've been rear-ended, but it looks like there's no serious damage." An Lan exhaled in relief, clicked off her seat belt, and was about to get out of the car when Zhang Ya, upon hearing the words "rear-ended," felt even more distressed rather than relieved, and said with tears in her voice, "Am I having a streak of bad luck lately? Why do I keep getting into car accidents?"
An Lan paused for a moment as she was opening the door.
