The next morning, when Huo Zhanting and An Lan were going to work, just as they arrived at the company's entrance, they were stopped by a portly middle-aged man with a smile plastered across his face. Gu Xi followed behind him. When An Lan caught sight of Gu Xi, she gasped in shock. It had only been a day since they last met, and Gu Xi looked as though she had suffered inhuman torment. There was a distinct handprint on her face, and her exposed skin was a horrifying mélange of blue and purple bruises.
Upon seeing An Lan, a flare of hatred sparked in Gu Xi's eyes.
