An Lan opened her eyes and took a long while to adjust.
It wasn't until Huo Zhanting pushed the door open and walked in that she came back to her senses.
Huo Zhanting had an apron tied around his waist, looking every bit the domestic husband. Seeing the usually god-like Director Huo so down-to-earth, An Lan couldn't help but laugh out loud, the embarrassment she had felt in front of his employees no longer mattered.

"Why another check-up?" An Lan thought of all the numerous tests at every check-up, slumped listlessly over the table, her whole body spelling out three words: don't want to go.
