Huo Zhanting stumbled through finding an excuse.
An Lan listened and was even more bewildered.
Too cold? Isn't there air conditioning at the banquet venue? How could it be cold?
But soon, An Lan realized what Huo Zhanting was unhappy about. She felt both amused and helpless. She gently pushed Huo Zhanting away, then walked to the wardrobe, and pulled out a white rabbit fur shawl from the divider, "Is it okay now? It's not cold anymore."
She walked in front of Huo Zhanting and did a twirl.
Huo Zhanting's expression improved slightly, but the thought of the beautiful An Lan being seen by others made him very unhappy, and he regretted why he had chosen this gown for her.
"If that's still not okay, then I just won't go," An Lan said with a light huff, feigning indignation.
Upon hearing this, Huo Zhanting, indeed, grudgingly said, "It's much better now. At the banquet, you must stay with me and not wander off."
"Okay, I got it," An Lan went along with Huo Zhanting's words.
