When Wen Sheng came out of the shower, she found the coffee table laden with takeout boxes.
"I guessed you were hungry, so I went down and bought some local snacks for you to try," Fu Yanlin said as he broke apart a pair of disposable chopsticks and rinsed them with boiling water before handing them to Wen Sheng.
"How did you know I was hungry?" Wen Sheng's stomach had been growling during her shower, and she had planned to look for food in the room after getting out.
She hadn't expected Fu Yanlin to have prepared all this already.
After sitting down, Wen Sheng eagerly popped a fish ball into her mouth. It was fresh and chewy, with a tight texture, unlike any she had tasted at the snack stalls in Jiangzhou.
There was also fish congee, completely devoid of any fishy taste. The side dishes that accompanied the congee melted in the mouth, almost too delicious to believe.
