Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Ungrateful Living Wolf_1

"Sheng, tell me in detail, how he was bad—"

Zhu Qingjia wanted to ask more, but Wen Sheng made up an excuse to avoid the conversation. "Jiajia, I have a dinner party tonight. I'll chat with you when I get back to the hotel."

She didn't want to discuss a man with whom she had a fleeting romance in a non-private space.

After ending the call, Wen Sheng was about to head to the private room when a hand suddenly grabbed her wrist and dragged her aside, pressing her against the railing.

The man's hot breath smelt of tobacco mixed with mint on her neck.

Just as Wen Sheng was about to scream, she heard the man's deep and teasing voice, "My skills are bad? Huh?"

"..."

Recognizing the man's voice, Wen Sheng was stunned.

As God is her witness, Wen Sheng had never thought she would see the man she had a one-night stand with again.

Especially under such awkward circumstances.

Is Qingzhou that small?

Sensing Wen Sheng's silence, the man pinched her delicate waist. "Not talking?"

Wen Sheng, both embarrassed and angry, pushed his chest and demanded, "Get off me!"

"Go on, scream —" Fu Yanlin took a puff of his cigarette, crushed it under his heel, deliberately blowing smoke into Wen Sheng's face. "Like you did last night."

Choked by the smoke, Wen Sheng scowled and pushed him away, only for him to press tighter. The firmness of his muscles brought back memories of last night. Feeling a strange sensation and her breath hitching, she quickly looked away and muttered under her breath, "Back off!"

Yanlin bit down on her snow-white neck. "After being serviced all night, you are denying me now?"

Wen Sheng, in pain, raised her hand to slap him.

Fu Yanlin timely grabbed her wrist, looking delightfully at her fair face.

Wen Sheng struggled free and sprinted away.

Fu Yanlin watched her petite figure disappear, lightly snorting.

"An ungrateful wolf, never seen one before."

-

Inside the private room.

Song Yu'en had already ordered the dishes and sat chatting with Wen Sheng.

While they were engrossed in their conversation, the door was suddenly pushed open.

The sight of the man standing at the entrance with a stern face but an arrogant air was enough to chill Wen Sheng's heart.

Fu Yanlin caught her eye and curled his lip.

Song Yu'en ushered him to sit down and explained to Wen Sheng, "Miss Wen, let me introduce you to my good friend, Fu Yanlin. He came to Qingzhou to visit me. We didn't have many people for dinner tonight, so I thought I'd invite him along too. I hope that's alright with you, Miss Wen?"

"Mr. Xiaosong, I don't mind." Wen Sheng masked her displeasure and politely smiled, "It's more lively with more people."

Fu Yanlin glanced at her and snickered.

Liar.

"Don't call me Mr. Xiaosong. Just call me Xiaosong," Song Yu'en laughed and turned to Fu Yanlin, "Yan, this is the investor of Changjing Capital, Miss Wen Sheng. Miss Wen holds a dual master degree in law and finance from Yan University. Impressive, right?"

Fu Yanlin grunted dismissively and didn't give Song Yu'en any face. He took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves and played with his phone.

Song Yu'en noticed two bite marks on his arm, and joked, "Who bit your arm? It wasn't there yesterday."

Fu Yanlin glanced at the purple bite mark on his elbow and glanced meaningfully at Wen Sheng, "Bitten by an ungrateful wolf."

"A wolf?" Song Yu'en looked confused. "Are there wolves in Qingzhou? How come I don't know?"

Fu Yanlin sneered, "You've never seen an ungrateful wolf? The living kind."

Song Yu'en joked, "Did one of your girlfriends bite you in anger? Has Fu Yanlin finally been bested?"

Fu Yanlin's icy glance shot through Wen Sheng's eyes, "I'll get my revenge."

Wen Sheng's face turned red instantly.

She was that ungrateful wolf.

The bite mark was from her painful grip last night.

She had been in so much pain then, she didn't realize she had bitten him so hard.

But he wasn't angry, he was just kissing her forehead, soothing her, "Good girl, it'll be better in a moment."
