First impressions of a person really do matter because, no matter how kind they seem now or how many times they repeat it, in my mind they're still the ones who kidnapped my friends, and Neo and that girl are just two weirdos fighting for no reason.
"So, they're your family," Maia says.
"That's right, girl," the elder woman replies.
Maia, on the other hand, is happy because she feels like everything is finally making sense. When I first arrived at the orphanage, even though I was very young, I spent my time crying for no apparent reason and dreaming of my parents. Today, everything would finally be explained.
"And when will you tell us the story?" the old man asks. Out of the three of us, he's the only one who understands why I don't want to trust them. "We need to know right now, or rather Luke needs to know if he wants to go with them or not."
