Nexus smiled bitterly as he thought back on his current life in this world.
On Earth, he had all the riches one could ask for, but he was never truly happy. He died tragically in a fire, leaving behind a life of wealth but emptiness.
In his new life in a completely different world, Nexus was reborn into a royal family. Despite his status, he longed for the simple love and warmth of a family. He always envied those who had that kind of love in their lives.
Unfortunately, his second life was not much better. His mother in this life was schemed against and died in palace infighting. Nexus himself was falsely accused of a crime, banished from his kingdom, and had his cultivation abilities stripped away.
He couldn't even believe how he survived the explosion that occurred during his teleportation to the distant continent he has been banished to. He suspected his so-called siblings were behind this, they didn't even want him to live even when his Cultivation base was crippled.
After waking up from a month-long coma, Nexus found himself in a strange land with only a few people by his side. He chuckled bitterly, unsure of how he would survive in a world where his cultivation was crippled.

As he thought of all this he tried to move slightly on the bed but immense pain immediately wracked his body and soul, leaving him weak and vulnerable.
Nexus's forehead was covered in sweat as he grimaced in pain. Every little movement felt like torture, making him think he might not make it through. Cold sweat soaked his entire body.
Just then, the door swung open and Nyx walked in carrying a bowl of steaming hot soup, followed by a woman in her thirties with white skin and a head full of black hair tied back in a ponytail.
She was slightly plump, and this woman was Grandma Sora, who Nexus had mentioned earlier.
"Your Highness, are you okay?" Nyx hurried to the bedside, placing the bowl of soup on a nearby table. She looked worried as she saw Nexus's pained expression and sweat-soaked clothes.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just in a lot of pain," Nexus replied with a strained smile.
Nyx's eyes welled up with tears, feeling a pang of sadness seeing Nexus in such agony.
"Your Highness, hang in there. The pain will ease up in a day or two," a soothing voice came from Grandma Sora beside Nyx.
Nexus looked at Grandma Sora and nodded with a warm smile. "Don't worry, Grandma Sora. I'll bounce back quickly.
"Your Highness, I have prepared a nourishing soup for you to aid in your quick recovery," Grandma Sora announced.
Nexus nodded gratefully, feeling a surge of warmth in his heart even though he knows the soup can do little in his recovery.
"Nyx, please assist His Highness in consuming the soup," Grandma Sora instructed Nyx.
Nyx nodded and carefully brought the soup to the table.
Sitting beside Nexus, Nyx began feeding him the soup, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
"Your Highness, please eat slowly as the soup is still hot," Nyx cautioned Nexus, who was eagerly devouring the meal.
Nexus mumbled between bites, "The food is simply delicious." Having been in a coma for a month, he awoke ravenous. The enticing aroma of the soup only intensified his hunger.
As the gentle voice echoed through the door of the Nexus room, a slender and tall man of about forty years old made his entrance.
This man, known as Grandpa Kassius, possessed a handsome appearance with a mustache adorning his lips, black hair streaked with white, and a refined temperament.
"Old man, where have you been all day? Come,His Highness is awake," Grandma Sora remarked, rolling her eyes at Kassius.
Ignoring Sora's comment, Kassius approached Nexus, who was engrossed in devouring the food provided by Nyx.
"Your Highness, thank the heavens that you have awoken from your coma," Kassius said, bowing slightly towards Nexus.
" Grandpa Kassius" Nexus acknowledged Kassius with a nod, reflecting on the fact that these three individuals - Kassius, Sora, and Nyx - were the only ones left in his life.
According to his late mother, Kassius and Sora had been present since her birth in her previous kingdom. They had survived the invasion of the Blue Moon Kingdom, where all other royal members had perished, due to her plea for their lives.
Despite not being old enough to be considered grandparents, Nexus affectionately referred to them as Grandpa Kassius and Grandma Sora.
He also pondered why they had not aged much, a mystery that puzzled him. They still looked the same as when he was still a child.
A few minutes later, Nexus finished his meal, his hunger finally satisfied. Kassius, noticing Nexus had finished eating, stepped forward and produced a small glass bottle containing three pills with a faint luster.
"Your Highness, these are healing pills that I purchased with our last bit of money. Please take them. They may help you regain some strength," Kassius said as he handed the pills to Nexus.
"Thank you, Grandpa Kassius," Nexus replied gratefully. He examined the pills for a moment before swallowing them. As the pills dissolved in his body, they released Spirit Energy that nourished him, alleviating the pain he had been feeling and restoring some color to his pale face.
However, while the pills were able to heal his physical pain, they were unable to repair his crippled Cultivation.
After a few moments, Nexus opened his eyes and felt significantly better than before. Kassius, Sora, and Nyx were relieved to see the pills had worked, even though they couldn't heal his damaged foundation.
"Help me up, Nyx," Nexus requested.
"Yes, Your Highness," Nyx replied promptly, rushing to assist Nexu.
Sora also joined in to help, supporting Nexus as they helped him sit up on the bed. Nexus let out a sigh of relief, grateful to no longer be lying down after a month of discomfort.
Despite initially struggling to maintain his balance after not sitting for a month, Nexus quickly adapted and regained his ability to sit properly.
As he raised his head and gazed at the three individuals before him, Nexus felt a sense of contentment. These individuals were his only true family in this world.
With a solemn expression, Nexus turned to Kassius and inquired about their current whereabouts and situation.
Kassius, showing respect towards Nexus and explained " After we have been exiled from the Kingdom, we were caught in a space turbulence due to a malfunction in the teleportation formation which cause the formation to blow up.
You and Nyx directly fainted, and I used a protective treasure given to me by your mother to protect us.However, the treasure was not strong enough to withstand the impact and was destroyed, causing I and Sora to lose consciousness as well. I was the first to awaken, followed by Sora and Nyx. Unfortunately, Your Highness you remained in a deep coma due to the weakened state of your cultivation and the effects of the teleportation malfunction ".
Kassius recounted the events in a single breath, pausing briefly to collect himself before continuing, " Upon awakening, we found ourselves stranded in a desolate valley, our storage rings - containing all of our belongings - destroyed by the chaotic forces of space. As a result, we were left without any money or precious treasures. However, fortune smiled upon us when we stumbled upon a small, secluded kingdom just a few miles from the valley. Seeking refuge, we settled in the capital city of this kingdom. In order to secure a place to live, Sora was forced to part with her necklace in exchange for a modest sum of money.
With this, we were able to purchase a small courtyard in a quiet corner of the city. For an entire month, we resided in this unfamiliar place, awaiting your awakening ".
Kassius and the others turned their attention to Nexus, who appeared deep in thought as he processed the news delivered by Kassius.
Nexus was surprised to learn of all that had transpired while he was in a deep slumber.
Breaking free from his reverie, Nexus turned to Sora with a grateful smile. "Thank you, Grandma Sora, your necklace truly saved us."
Sora returned the smile, her eyes filled with maternal affection. "Your Highness, it was my duty to help. There is no need to thank me."
Addressing Kassius once more, Nexus expressed his confusion. "Grandpa Kassius, I am puzzled. How did we manage to escape the space turbulence and end up in this unfamiliar location?"
Kassius shrugged, admitting, "I am as clueless as you. When we awoke, we found ourselves in the desolate valley."
Lost in contemplation, Nexus recalled the belief that those caught in space turbulence never returned. Yet, here they were, alive and well. Pushing aside his doubts, Nexus focused on the present moment, grateful for his survival.
Turning his attention to Nyx, Nexus noticed her keen interest in the conversation, her purple eyes shining with curiosity. "Nyx, I trust you behaved yourself while I was unconscious," Nexus teased.
Nyx was momentarily startled but quickly responded, "Yes, Your Highness, I behaved very well. I caused no trouble."
Sora chimed in, adding, "Nyx never left your side during your coma. She was adamant about caring for you, not allowing me to intervene."
Nyx blushed at Sora's words, her embarrassment evident.
Nexus was surprised to learn that Nyx had been the one to care for him throughout his month-long coma.
