[Day: Monday]
[Time: Afternoon]
[Location: Sanctuary University]
Sunlight streamed through the large windows of Ui's science lab, casting a warm glow over the polished lab tables. We had just finished our extended lesson about elemental fusion and fission. The room, with its high ceilings and rows of neatly arranged desks, buzzed with the low hum of student chatter. At the front of the room stood Ui, her strict yet passionate expression a fixture as she held a stack of papers. Her light brown eyes scanned the room, ensuring every student was paying attention.
"Alright, settle down everyone," she began, her voice commanding respect and immediately silencing the room, "you'll be working on a project about what we just learned, focusing on elemental fusion and fission. You'll need to pair up for this project as it would need two people for safety precautions."
There was a brief moment of silence, followed by a flurry of whispers and exchanged glances. Some students looked eager, others apprehensive. Joy, her face a mix of excitement and determination, felt a flutter of excitement surge inside her. This was her element. She had always excelled in academics and loved a good challenge.
Leaning towards me, who sat beside her, she whispered with a smile, "This project is gonna be fun with you as my partner."
I, now very known for my intelligence and talents across all fields and subjects, nodded with a soft chuckle. "Yeah, we'll be sure to ace this project with flying colors."
Joy's heart skipped a beat. Working with me was an opportunity she relished, not only for the academic challenge but also for the chance to spend more time with me. She admired my calm confidence and sharp mind.
As Ui continued to explain the project requirements, detailing the focus on elemental fusion and fission and the importance of teamwork and thorough research, Joy's mind raced with ideas. She couldn't wait to dive into the project, especially with me by her side.
Ui handed out the project guidelines, moving down each row with measured steps. "This project will test your understanding of complex scientific principles and your ability to collaborate effectively," she said, emphasizing the importance of both academic rigor and teamwork.
Joy and I exchanged a look of mutual determination. She leaned closer to me, her voice barely above a whisper, "We should start planning right away. How about coming over to my house after school? We can brainstorm and get a head start before everyone else."
I smiled, a rare spark of enthusiasm in my eyes. "Sounds good to me. I've heard you have a great study setup at home. Besides, it'll be nice to work in a relaxed environment as my place wouldn't be the most...study efficient place."
Joy's excitement bubbled over. She could already imagine us working side by side, delving into the intricacies of elemental fusion and fission, exchanging ideas, and perhaps sharing more than just academic interests.
"Alright, class dismissed," Ui announced, breaking Joy's train of thought. "Remember, this project is due in two weeks. Use your time wisely, Hazel."
The class let out soft chuckled as Hazel was singled out from the others. Hazel rolled her eyes, dismissing Ui's comment then stood up and gathered her things.
As the other students began to gather their things and head out, Joy turned to me, her eyes bright with enthusiasm. "This is going to be amazing, Shiro. I can't wait to get started."
I nodded, slinging my bag over my shoulder. "Me too, Joy. I have a feeling we're going to make a great team."
With that, we walked out of the classroom together, already discussing our initial ideas and plans for the project. The anticipation of working together on such an exciting project made Joy's heart race with a mix of nervousness and excitement, setting the stage for the deepening bond between us.
-----------------------------------------
As I made my way outside, I felt a pat on my back, causing me to stumble forward. I turned my gaze to the person, noticing Dante and chuckled softly as he walked forward. Another pat landed on my back and I noticed Mariana hurrying forward, waving at me.
I made my way toward my car, fixing my jacket then sat on the hood of my car as I waited for Joy to come out. I looked at my watch, working on my System now that I could Upgrade my traits again.

"I have a question," I muttered to Lustie and Passion, keeping my eyes glued to the gentle glow of the screen of my watch. "I keep thinking about that mission and I struggled against Feleti, why's that? I barely struggled against Romeo nor Lane and Ruby."
"Well that's because he's bonded to Ardor. Ardor is stronger than me and my sisters combined plus he carries a Divine Weapon which adds to his strength," Lustie explained, watching me upgrade my traits, her tail swaying from side to side.
"Really..?" I asked softly, glancing at Lustie.
"She isn't lying. Plus he's technically more skilled at fighting than you are. From the way he talks, he's gotten more years of experience than you do, but you're more cunning and versatile than he is," Passion added to Lustie's statement. "But, he has not been shown to know any Trait Skills like Lust Inducement and Golden Tongue, nor does he carry more than once Source."
"Mhm!~ Because of the insane amount of skills you possess plus the boosts you get from each Crest you wield, you do come up on par with Feleti. But the thing is it's his own Supernatural Ambition that boosts him," Lustie nodded, a prideful smile playing on her lips.
"I think I understand," I said, satisfied with the answer I got from my two companions.
After a few hours of waiting outside and talking with my Love Demons, Joy walked out of the building and made her way to the parking lot. We locked eyes and shared pleasant smiles then got into my car, and I drove to Joy's house.
[Day: Monday]
[Time: Evening]
[Location: Joy's House]
I parked my car outside of Joy's house, the both of us getting out and heading toward her front door. As we walked, I noticed Joy's father's car on the driveway, letting me know that he was home as well. The house was cozy and inviting, with a well-kept garden in the front.
Joy opened the door, her face lighting up with a welcoming smile as we stepped inside together. "Welcome to my home!" she said cheerfully, her voice filled with genuine warmth.
I stepped inside, immediately enveloped by the warm, homey atmosphere. The walls were adorned with family photos, capturing moments of joy and togetherness. The scent of freshly baked cookies wafted through the air, making the place feel even more inviting.
"This way," Joy said, leading me into the living room. The room was cozy, with soft, comfortable furniture and a large window that let in plenty of natural light of the sunset. Her father was seated on a plush armchair, reading a book. He looked up as we entered.
"Hi, Dad!" Joy greeted, her voice filled with affection. She turned to me and introduced us. "Shiro, this is my father."
Joy's father stood up, setting his book aside, and extended a hand with a warm smile. "Welcome to our home, Shiro. Joy talks about you a lot."
I shook his hand, feeling a sense of ease wash over me. The firm handshake and the friendly demeanor of Joy's father made me feel instantly comfortable. "Thank you, Mr. Flower. It's nice to meet you."
Joy's father smiled, his eyes twinkling with a mixture of pride and amusement. "Make yourself at home. Joy, if you need anything, just let me know."
Joy nodded enthusiastically. "Thanks, Dad. We'll be in my room working on our project."
"Good luck with your project," her father said, returning to his book but keeping a watchful, caring eye on us.
Joy led me upstairs and down a short hallway to her room. As we walked, she glanced over her shoulder with a grin. "My dad's great, isn't he?"
I smiled back and rested my hands behind my head, feeling more at ease with each passing moment. "Yeah, he seems really nice."
We reached Joy's room, and she pushed open the door. The room was a reflection of her personality—bright and organized, with bookshelves lined with textbooks and novels, a desk cluttered with papers and pens, and posters and trophies of academic achievements on the walls and on the top of the shelves.
"Here we are," Joy said, gesturing for me to enter. "Feel free to make yourself comfortable."
I took in the room with appreciation, noting the blend of personal and academic touches. I set my bag down by the desk and took a seat. "This is a great setup, Joy. Perfect for working on our project."
Joy beamed, her excitement palpable. "I'm glad you like it. Let's get started."
As we settled in to work, the comfortable, welcoming environment of Joy's home made it easy for us to focus and collaborate. The scent of cookies occasionally drifted in, a pleasant reminder of the warmth and hospitality that filled the house, further strengthening the bond forming between Joy and I.
------------------------------
Sitting on the floor with our backs against Joy's bed, we shared a few laughs over a joke I told. The room felt cozier, the initial awkwardness replaced by a growing camaraderie.
"You said...you said what?" Joy laughed, holding her stomach from the laughter.
"I said to him, 'You're just as blind on the court as you are outside, and that's probably why you can never make a shot anymore,' and he was so pissed. Then we fought and I hit their leader with a Sweet Chin Music and it was the most unserious thing I've ever done in a fight," I laughed and shook my head.
"No, no it was when I hit someone with a Pedigree, now that was the most unserious thing I've ever done," I corrected myself, laughing at the memories.
Joy bursted out into more laughter and took off her glasses, wiping away the tears that formed from her hearty laughs. "No way you successfully landed a wrestling move on someone and it worked!"
"I'm trying to tell you, it was epic as hell," I said in between my laughs, letting out a soft sigh.
A gentle knock on the door interrupted our conversation and laughter, prompting both me and Joy to look at the door. We had been deeply engrossed in their discussion about the project and our side conversations, the genuine chemistry between us seemingly perfect. The two of us set our notes aside as the door creaked open.
Joy's father peeked in, a warm smile on his face as he carried a tray laden with snacks and drinks. The inviting aroma of freshly baked cookies mingled with the scent of hot chocolate.
"I hear you two bonding well in here," he said with a chuckle. "Thought you might be hungry. How's the project going?"
Joy's face lit up at the sight of her father. She sat up straight, her eyes sparkling with gratitude. "Thanks, Dad. It's going really well. Shiro and I are making great progress."
Her father walked into the room, carefully placing the tray on the desk. He glanced at the scattered papers and textbooks, then at me, giving me a knowing smile after seeing how happy Joy was with me. "That's wonderful to hear. I'll leave you to it then. Enjoy, and let me know if you need anything."
I smiled back, feeling an even stronger sense of ease. "Thank you, sir. This is very thoughtful."
Joy's father nodded, a twinkle of amusement and pride in his eyes. "Just doing my part. Good luck with the project, you two."
As he left the room, closing the door quietly behind him, Joy felt a wave of gratitude wash over her. Her father had always been supportive of her academic endeavors, and his gesture this evening was no exception. She turned to me, her smile warm and appreciative.
"He's the best," Joy said softly, reaching for a cookie. "Always knows exactly what we need."
I nodded, picking up a cup of hot chocolate. "Yeah, he seems really supportive. We're lucky to have such a great environment to work in."
We resumed our project, but the presence of the snacks and the thoughtfulness behind them added a layer of comfort and camaraderie. As we worked, we shared the cookies and sipped our drinks, the break providing a perfect moment to relax and reconnect before diving back into the complexities of our scientific project.
The evening wore on, filled with bursts of laughter and intense focus. The combination of Joy's father's kindness and our growing friendship made the project not just a task to complete, but an enjoyable and memorable experience.
-----------------------------------------------
As the clock struck ten, the soft chime signaled the end of our productive evening. The room was a testament to our hard work, with neatly stacked books and organized notes scattered across Joy's desk. We exchanged a look, the both of us recognizing it was time to wrap up for the night.
"We've made a lot of progress," I said, gathering my notes and slipping them into my bag. "I think we're well on our way to acing this project."
Joy smiled, a warm feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction spreading through her. "Absolutely. It's been great working with you."
We tidied up the room together, a quiet rhythm forming as we put away textbooks and cleared the desk. The sense of teamwork extended beyond our project, forming a comfortable routine between us. Once everything was in its place, Joy led me to the front door, feeling a mix of contentment and anticipation for our next meeting.
At the doorway, we paused, the cool night air brushing past us. The porch light cast a gentle glow, illuminating our faces.
"I'll see you tomorrow," I said, smiling. "We'll finish this project and ace it. Also, thanks for having me over. Your home is wonderful."
Joy nodded, her eyes sparkling with genuine warmth. "No problem, Shiro. And… I'm really looking forward to our time together again."
There was a brief moment of silence, filled with unspoken words and mutual understanding. As I stepped outside, I glanced back at Joy, feeling a newfound connection that went beyond our academic collaboration.

I turned back one last time, sharing a smile that mirrored her own feelings. "Will do. Good night, Joy."
With a final wave, I got into my car, the engine purring to life. Joy stood at the doorway, watching as I drove down the quiet street. The red tail lights faded into the distance, leaving her with a lingering sense of warmth and anticipation.
As she closed the door, Joy felt a deep sense of satisfaction, her heart soaring with feelings she never thought she'd have within. Tonight had been more than just a productive study session; it was the beginning of something meaningful to her. She looked forward to our next meeting, both for the progress we would make on our project and the time we would spend together.
With a contented sigh, Joy headed back to her room, the remnants of the evening's bonding and the promise of tomorrow filling her with a quiet joy.
