Kendall changed into the white team uniform that Alex gave her. It was a T-shirt of good texture with the blue bird logo designed by Alex printed on the back. She walked out of the master bedroom.
Downstairs, Damien sat at the kitchen table reading a newspaper, a steaming cup of coffee in hand.
The servant was preparing breakfast for two in the kitchen.
One for Damien, one for Kendall.
"Morning."
Hearing her footsteps, the man looked away from the newspaper and smiled at Kendall.
Kendall found this smile very pleasing to the eye.
She had never paid too much attention to Damien's appearance, but his celestial looks could always make her appreciate them from the bottom of her heart at certain moments.
"Morning."
She walked slowly down the stairs to the dining table.
When passing by Damien, she paused and found a tiny shining spot on the wall opposite him.
