Phoebe's parents sat beside her bed, speaking softly, trying to wake their daughter from her unconscious state. Their voices wavered, tears streaking down their faces, unable to come to terms with what had happened to her.
As they sobbed, Jovan Moran and his son arrived.
"Moran!" Phoebe's father growled, gritting his teeth as he quickly pushed his wheelchair toward Jovan. Phoebe's mother swiftly grabbed the wheelchair handles, stopping her husband from acting impulsively. She knew her disabled husband stood no chance against Jovan and his entourage.
Her glare was fierce as she spat, "You beast! You are not welcome here. Get out!"
Director Moran's face darkened, but Jovan remained composed, lowering his eyelids as though sorrowful.
