Chapter 4 - CH.4 Conclusion

The audience erupted into cheers and gasps of astonishment as they witnessed Haruto's sudden reversal of fortune. Even Fu seemed taken aback by the unexpected turn of events, her expression a mixture of surprise and frustration.

'She caught me off guard, I didn't know she was this fast. That's the problem with fighting unknowns,' Haruto thought to himself, his mind racing as he seized the momentum.

Haruto wasn't about to let up now. With newfound determination, he pressed his advantage, launching a series of rapid strikes and feints that kept Fu on the defensive. Each blow landed with precision, wearing down her defenses and leaving her struggling to keep up.

'Fuck, I'm going to lose. Why didn't he go down the first time? I put all I had in that first attack,' Fu thought desperately holding in tears, her body aching from the relentless assault.

Despite her best efforts, Fu found herself unable to match Haruto's skill and agility. As Haruto threw a feint, she attempted to counter, but he was already one step ahead. his kick connecting with her thigh, a jot of pain hit Fu like a train forcing her to her knees as he body refused to comply, looking up she was met with another kick to the face, she hit the ground hard, her ears ringing as he body betrayed her intentions to get up.

As the dust settled and the cheers of the crowd subsided, Haruto stood victorious, his chest heaving with exertion but his spirits soaring. He had faced a formidable opponent and emerged triumphant, proving his worth to all who doubted him.

With a sense of pride and accomplishment, Haruto turned to face Fu, extending a hand in a gesture of respect. "You fought well," he said, his voice sincere. "But today, victory belongs to me."

Fu was unconscious and Haruto's robes blew in the wind like a war flag, he picked up his opponent as the crowd watched in silence, taking her off the arena and carefully placing her in the arms of her friend to rest.

"she did good," He said as he turned to leave, fighting his pain from the battle.

"Hmm, it's time for the third battle, the winner here will meet Haruto in the final"

"The semi-final match Yu vs Hiruko"

The crowd went wild as two of the most promising students were now meeting in a match, anticipation filled the air as debates and murmurs stilled up to discover who was the best among the two, Yu the girl with jet-black hair and exceptional mastery over Chi against the good looking guy with adept Chi control and martial arts skills.

As Yu and Hiruko stepped onto the arena, the tension in the air was palpable. The audience held their breath, eager to witness the clash between two of the most promising students in the Jigoku Clan. Yu, with her jet-black hair tied in a ponytail, exuded an aura of confidence as she stood opposite Hiruko, her eyes sharp and focused. Hiruko, with his gentle demeanor and warm smile, seemed almost out of place in the midst of the intense atmosphere.

The instructor's voice cut through the silence, signaling the start of the match. "Begin!"

With a swift movement, Yu lunged forward, her hands glowing with the fiery energy of her chi. She unleashed a barrage of punches and kicks, each strike infused with the power of fire. Flames erupted from her fists, leaving trails of scorching heat in their wake as she aimed for Hiruko's defenses.

Hiruko's response was swift and decisive. Drawing upon his mastery of earth chi, he summoned a wall of hardened earth to intercept Yu's flaming fists. The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the arena, shaking the ground beneath their feet as the audience watched in awe.

As the dust settled, Yu and Hiruko locked eyes once more, each assessing the other's strength and determination. Yu could feel the heat radiating from her opponent's body, a testament to his control over fire chi. She knew she had to remain focused if she hoped to emerge victorious.

Drawing upon her training, Yu shifted her tactics, channeling her chi into a whirlwind of swirling air around her. The gusts of wind buffeted Hiruko, threatening to throw him off balance as Yu sought to create an opening for her next attack.

Hiruko's response was immediate. With a flick of his wrist, he channeled his earth chi into the ground beneath Yu's feet, causing the terrain to shift and crack beneath her. Yu stumbled, momentarily thrown off balance by the sudden upheaval, but she quickly regained her footing, her determination unwavering.

Despite Yu's relentless assault, Hiruko remained composed, his focus unwavering as he countered with his own attacks. He channeled his Chi, summoning flames that danced along his fists, their intensity growing with each passing moment.

Yu felt a surge of adrenaline as she faced Hiruko's fiery onslaught. She knew she needed to adapt quickly if she hoped to gain the upper hand. Drawing upon her dual attributes of fire and air, she focused her Chi, weaving strands of elemental energy around her.

With a swift motion, Yu unleashed her signature technique, a swirling vortex of fire and wind that engulfed Hiruko in a blazing cyclone. The flames licked at his skin, searing his senses as he struggled to maintain his footing.

Hiruko gritted his teeth against the searing heat, his mind racing for a counter-strategy. He concentrated his Chi, channeling it into the earth beneath him, his connection to the element strengthening with each passing moment.

As Yu's attack reached its peak, Hiruko unleashed his own devastating technique. With a powerful surge of Chi, he transformed the ground beneath him into a molten inferno, the earth erupting in a wave of scorching lava.

Yu's eyes widened in shock as she realized the danger too late. She leaped back, narrowly avoiding the searing heat as the ground beneath her feet turned to liquid fire. The intense heat singed her skin, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she struggled to maintain her composure.

The two of them not having exchanged word since they got onto their arena glared at each other, each sizing up their own opponent in their head, each having a reason to fight, from the looks of it they didn't really need the prize the basic understanding of Chi was more than what the book offered.

This was a battle to stand out, to get acknowledged, to get seen.

'Standing out is usually a bad thing, but in cases like our clan your weak until you prove other wise, these two are fighting to prove their worth in everything' Haruto said as he watched the match carefully knowing one of these people would be his next opponent.

Despite the overwhelming odds, Yu refused to back down. Drawing upon her inner strength, she focused her Chi with unwavering resolve, her determination burning as brightly as the flames that surrounded her.

With a defiant shout, Yu unleashed a final burst of elemental energy, her Chi-infused attack colliding with Hiruko's molten onslaught in a spectacular clash of power.

"For the first time the duo opened their mouth as they screamed at the top of their lungs"

The arena shook with the force of their combined might, the air crackling with raw energy as their elemental forces collided. Creating a tempest of energy that seemed to original from the centre before exploding.

Chunks of earth flew everywhere as the students watched in pure awe, no one was cheering, no one was celebrating, once the dust had cleared up a bit un unbealevable view came to mind, the entire arena had been demolished leaving a hole filled with molten lava and cracks that threatened to bury the onlooker even the training from other had stopped.

And the two combatants where on opposite sides of the field, each unconscious each bleeding badly.

As the dust settled on the arena and the echoes of the intense battle faded away, the instructor stepped forward, his expression grave as he surveyed the aftermath of the fierce confrontation between Yu and Hiruko.

"Unfortunately, it seems that both Yu and Hiruko are unable to continue," he announced, his voice carrying over the stunned silence of the remaining students. "Their use of Chi has left them exhausted and unable to participate any longer."

A murmur of concern rippled through the crowd as the students realized the toll that Chi exhaustion had taken on their fellow classmates. The instructor's words served as a sobering reminder of the dangers inherent in harnessing the power of Chi, a force that could just as easily consume its wielder as empower them.

"I cannot stress enough the importance of knowing your limits and pacing yourselves when using Chi," the instructor continued, his tone somber. "Exhaustion can leave you vulnerable in battle and endanger not only your own life but the lives of those around you."

With a heavy heart, the instructor turned to Haruto, the sole remaining contender in the match. "By default, Haruto is declared the winner of today's competition and will receive the ancient scroll on Chi control and gathering."

Haruto's chest swelled with pride as he accepted the honor, his determination to prove himself in the eyes of his clanmates reaffirmed by his victory.
