Chapter 308 - Chapter 308: Exiting Through the Back Door

Why are you so skilled at this!?

Office supplies on the desk, miscellaneous items in drawers, firearms and ammunition hidden in compartments, loose change in the piggy bank, and even snacks in the refrigerator—all were swiftly packed away by G11 and M1919A4 in just a few minutes!

Their movements were rapid and methodical. By the time AK12 and AN94 regained their senses, these scattered items had already been neatly packed into a hiking backpack strapped onto M1919A4's back.

The two of them worked together with such precision, as if they had done this many times before.

Especially their skill in rummaging through boxes and drawers; AK12 couldn't guarantee she would have found the hidden money and weapons without first shaking things up.

After all, Larry was at least a professional in introducing people to illegal activities, so he had some talent for hiding things.

The compartments and partitions hiding the money and weapons were all made of special materials. Even with professional scanning equipment, it would be difficult to find any clues. Yet, G11 and M1919A4 seemed familiar with these methods, effortlessly uncovering everything.

Renault didn't mind the two little ones rummaging through everything. After all, he had his own phase where he nervously rummaged through things everywhere, grabbing whatever he saw. He wouldn't even spare broken items; he would pick those up too.

The notebook contained a lot of information. Larry seemed to be quite proficient in old computer technology. The notebook even had an automatic data deletion function, and the battery pack inside the device was rigged with C4.

Enter the wrong password, and the data would be automatically deleted. Try to forcibly crack it, and the device would explode.

The protective measures were indeed tight, but unfortunately, this guy encountered Renault.

Larry wasn't currently in the city; he hadn't fled after receiving the message from Angelia to come and arrest people. He had just gone out temporarily, although this temporary absence was a bit long.

It might take two or three days for him to come back.

However, Larry had meticulously documented his work and the places he needed to go on his computer... This confused Renault a bit.

Why did you record all this? What's the point of keeping such detailed work logs? You're just a broker selling various illegal equipment. Why bother remembering everything in such detail? Even remembering that Zhang San from two streets away bought a bottle of nitric acid from you...

Well, that's probably professionalism. No wonder this guy became the biggest name in the city.

"Let's go, straight back to the airport. If you two are interested, you can call Angelia's side. They should still be wandering the streets for a few more hours."

It was just past one in the afternoon, with several hours left until nightfall.

And since they had finally come out for a trip, MDR and the others wouldn't hurriedly buy all the supplies.

Upon hearing Renault's words, AK12 and AN94 looked at each other strangely.

Was that it? They hadn't even caught anyone yet?

But since they were heading back, did it mean that Commander Renault had obtained some crucial information from that computer?

Snap!

Just as the two were about to turn and leave, Renault suddenly raised his hand and pushed them aside.

Then, a deafening explosion sounded on the ground!

A projectile blasted in through the doorway, directly passing through the spot where AK12 had just been, hitting the ground, and then ricocheting past G11's side.

"What's this! Sniper!?"

G11 exclaimed in shock, already pulling out her weapon case from her back and brandishing her imprinted weapon.

AK12 and AN94 weren't slow either, instantly taking their weapons off their backs. AK12 was even prepared to rush out at any moment, waiting for Renault's command to charge out directly.

"There are thirteen armed targets around the house, sniper position unknown,"

AN94 immediately began searching for potential targets nearby electronically.

As long as someone had a communicator on them, they would inevitably be detected by AN94. These unofficial communication devices were as conspicuous as bright lights in AN94's eyes.

However, the sniper's position was a bit far from Larry's location, making it impossible for her to find the exact target.

And for safety reasons, Larry had sealed off all the windows in the house. From inside, it was impossible to see what was happening outside. Trying to find the sniper's position through the window became an impossible task.

"Alright, don't gather at the door. Go out through the back door. We'll figure out how to deal with those guys after we're out."

Calling back AK12, who wanted to approach the window to tear down the sealed windows, Renault pointed to the wall on the other side of the room.

Back door? Where is there a back door in this house? Other than a front door, even the windows are sealed with layers of wooden boards, with no light leaking out. Where would there be a back door?

Before AK12 could ask, Renault answered their question with action.

He walked straight to the only wardrobe in the house and grabbed the top of it.

"Is there a hidden door behind the wardrobe?" AK12 said uncertainly. Even after opening her eyes, she couldn't see anything unusual about the wardrobe.

It seemed that Larry, the broker, was quite familiar with the scanning devices used by the military and security agencies, perfectly concealing the abnormalities behind the wardrobe.

Crack!

What looked like a wardrobe placed in the corner of the room made a dull cracking sound as Renault pulled it forcefully. It wasn't the wardrobe itself that broke, but the concrete structures connecting the wardrobe to the wall...

The wardrobe that Renault pulled directly from the wall, along with the power mechanism buried in the concrete wall, was now exposed to everyone's eyes. It was only then that AK12 noticed that behind the wardrobe was a door of the same color as the concrete wall.

But this door had some identity recognition devices on it. Unfortunately, they had been pulled out of the wall by Renault, rendering the door lockless. With a gentle push from Renault, the door swung open.

"This... Larry is quite cautious..."

AK12 closed her eyes, feeling a bit embarrassed. Then, she walked out first, opened her eyes again, and surveyed the situation outside the back door.

Upon seeing that there were no enemies outside the back door, she made a safe gesture to Renault and the others inside the room.
