"Sangvis Ferri is really unreliable. Scarecrow may be a good guy, but leaving me stranded at this remote station is unacceptable."
"Well, even though you say that, Commander... isn't it a bit risky for us to go directly to SF's main factory?"
"What's the problem with that? Do you think SF's T-Dolls will suddenly go berserk and attack us? Don't be ridiculous. Besides, didn't Scarecrow already register our identities on the SF side? Those autonomous Dolls won't lay a hand on us."
At this moment, Renault and his companions were driving along the old road beside the railway. Although the road conditions weren't great, as long as they kept following this path, they would eventually reach the main Sangvis Ferri factory, where the most of the SF trains were currently parked.
"Stop worrying. Learn from Vector, who's already sitting there in standby mode. This road is quite long, so let's rest and save some power for now."
Due to the recent need to transport goods in the city, both his T-Doll companions had adjusted their power output slightly.
Their batteries were now halfway depleted, but there was still a fair amount of charge left. However, considering they still had at least a whole day of driving ahead of them, saving some power was wise, especially since there were no charging stations in these remote areas.
"Okay." M1911 nodded. It was better not to waste energy now. If a fight were to break out later, they might need the remaining battery charge.
Thinking this, M1911 immediately checked her equipment. Unfortunately, all she had on her were her two imprinted weapons, some magazines, and a few smoke grenades. It looked quite meager...
Vector was in a similar situation, with only one imprinted weapon, some magazines, and... ten incendiary grenades!
Who knew she had so many! Counting them made M1911 jump in surprise.
It seemed Vector had a fondness for incendiary grenades. But wasn't she worried about accidentally setting herself on fire? As she thought about it, M1911 couldn't help but recall the condition Vector was in when Renault found her.
Back then, Vector was covered in incendiary grenades, and she ended up being caught in a hail of bullets, resulting the grenades to light up, mostly burning her to a crisp leaving her imprinted weapons with only a barrel and a mechanism intact.
Just thinking about it made M1911's eyes twitch. Subconsciously, she moved a bit closer to Renault, as if a few extra centimeters of distance could spare her from the fate of being caught in an incendiary grenade blast.
After a full day of bumpy travel, Renault finally caught sight of the Sangvis Ferri main factory before running out of fuel. However, what they saw first was the platform for the SF trains. Unfortunately, the train they had seen earlier wasn't there anymore, and they had no idea where Scarecrow had taken it.
"Something seems off." Vector, who had woken up from her nap, rubbed her eyes and commented.
It was too quiet here, and they hadn't seen a single SF automaton unit. In their previous encounters at the train station, there were always SF combat units patrolling back and forth.
"You're right. I can't even get through to Scarecrow's internal communication protocol. SF seems to have set up communication interference at their main factory. What's going on? Could it be that those few cars we saw earlier actually managed to attack Sangvis Ferri's headquarters?" Renault was feeling quite frustrated. He was in a hurry to get back, but now they were dealing with this mess.
And how could a military industrial enterprise, occupying a significant portion of military contracts, be brought to such a state by just a few cars of combat personnel and T-Dolls? This didn't make sense, did it? This was a bit too much of a stretch!
While they were in the city, although M1911 and her companions didn't count the exact number of personnel, they were certain there were only three cars. Of course, it was possible that other people had been transported to Sangvis Ferri's main factory through other means.
But so what?
All the elite Sangvis Ferri dolls were produced at this SF main factory. It was certain that there were quite a few automaton units stationed there.
Putting down his phone, Renault squinted around. "Let's keep going and see if we can find Scarecrow or any other elite-level SF T-Doll."
As they drove closer to Sangvis Ferri's main factory, they encountered more and more SF units resembling Dinergate. The entrances to the SF factory were already surrounded by numerous SF units, like a swarm.
