It was more like a religious organization, only they didn't believe in any household's usual gods but the Sun. They were like Greeks in that sense.
Anyway, Meteor was a strong spell but I still didn't hear any sound of a battle or charge which meant the barrier was still holding on. It was impossible unless it was the barrier of the Guardian rank being but no guardian rank being served the Church.
