"Okay, you can go out now", The General said and let go of Hyuk, and sat back in his place, taking a deep breath.
"Ye.. S, Thank you for showing mercy, you are the greatest General in the world", Hyuk stated and ran out from the General's chamber , running back to the quarters he fell two times, but both times he got up again immediately and continued running .
Once he reached the servant quarters he saw the girl from earlier standing on the door.
"Jin-He noona', Hyuk called and ran to her, with tears in his eyes, he hugged her tightly.
"What happened there, what did the General do to you?" jin-He asked as she looked at Hyuk worried, thinking that the General must have done something to him, since he was a devil in human skin.
"I am okay Noona, I thought I was going to die tonight", Hyuk answered as he recalled the moments in the General's chamber and felt a chill run down his spine.
"What did he say?", Jin-He asked again, as she made Hyuk sit down with her.
"He said he only eats people who are disloyal, but won't do anything to me, if I stay here and perform my duties without making mistakes, but if I ever make a mistake, he is going to chop me with his sword and eat me", he explained as he felt a sword hanging on his neck..
"So, what are you going to do now?", Jin-He asked.
"I.. I will stay here and serve him till the end of my life and will always be faithful to him, what else, otherwise he will kill me if I try to run away again".
"Hmm, that's a good decision, i will take care of you, so don't worry", jin-He reassured him and led him to his sleeping space.
In the morning:-
In the early morning, the kitchen had prepared the General's breakfast and now Hyuk got called to take it inside his chamber,
"Okay, i am going to do this, it's not that hard, i just have to remember to behave,bow to him, Greet him, serve the food on his table and get out of there, i don't have to do anything else, this is a simple task, he would not kill me, he would not, Hyuk thought as he walked with the tray of breakfast in his hand, his hands were still trembling but it was not as bad as last night. Today the plate was not hitting the tray making no sound at all, he was keeping his emotions in check so he was not crying today though he was still terrified he controlled his fear,he took a deep breath and softly knocked on the door of the General's chamber two times.
"Come in", with the General's order, Hyuk entered his chamber and bowed deep once and then with his head hung low, he walked towards the General, he was talking to someone, so Hyuk without saying anything to him, started setting his breakfast on the table,when he was done he bowed his head and came out of the room without making a single mistake.
"I did it, I did it, wow , God please! always be merciful on me so that I don't make a mistake in front of him and lose my life".. Hyuk prayed as he came out of the room and went straight to the kitchen.
"What should I help with?", he asked as he looked at the chef.
"You don't have to do anything Hyuk, your only job is to serve the General". The chef answered.
"Umm, can I take a quick look around here then?", Hyuk asked with puppy eyes so he would not be rejected.
"Hmm, but make sure to hurry back , okay"..
"Okay", Hyuk said and giddily ran off from there. He was looking around the manor when he saw two kids talking in the garden.
"Ari and niyan are busy and cannot play with us today, what should we do?".. The little girl asked her elder brother.
"What can we do , we atleast need to have one more person to play with us", the boy answered patting his sister's head, disappointed.
"What do you want to play, I can play with you two". Hyuk asked as he walked to the two of them and crouched in front of them, giving his sweetest smile possible.
"Who are you?" the boy asked hiding his sister in the back.
"I am the new servant appointed to serve the General", Hyuk answered with a sweet smile on his face.
"Don't talk so loudly, the General will hear it and punish us all", the boy said putting his finger on his mouth.
"Are you afraid of the General?", Hyuk asked crouching down to the siblings level.
"Hmm, are you afraid too?", the little girl asked in a low voice, like she didn't want to be discovered by anyone.
"Hmm, I am very afraid of him, he is terrifying", Hyuk said remembering the bloody sword.
"Shh, I told you not to talk loudly, the General will cut off your tongue if he hears you talking or playing with us", the boy said again, worried for Hyuk's tongue.
"Well, who are you, why are here, don't you know how dangerous it is to stay around the General?", Hyuk asked worried as he patted their heads.
"Mother told us that he is our father so we stay here with him", this time the little girl spoke up.
"Really", Hyuk asked shocked.
"Hmm, Go away now and come back when the General leaves the manor then we will play , don't come towards us till then or mother will get angry on us, we will wait for you here", the boy said.
"Umm, okay, I will go back now", Hyuk said and went back to the kitchen.
The General left the manor after having his lunch, Hyuk snuck out to meet the two siblings and the three of them played in a little garden area hiding from everyone, after playing, in the evening, Hyuk came back before the General and started helping jin-He and others in work.
At the time of dinner, Hyuk took the tray of food from the kitchen and went to the General's chamber, like every other time he knocked on the door to get the permission to enter the room but this time there was no answer, he knocked again and again there was no answer from the inside, he looked around but even the Eunuch was not there, he waited for a few minutes and saw the Eunuch coming towards the chambers.
"You can go inside and set the table", the eunuch said looking at him.
"Okay, Thank you", Hyuk bowed before softly opening the room door and went inside, closing the door behind him, he set the food on the table and looked around but there was no one inside the room other then the General's sword.
Hyuk looked at it and sighed.
"I want to touch this wicked sword once, cN it really cut through a ghost and annihilate a whole city, that too, just in one stroke,I Hyuk thought and looked at the demonic sword.
no,no i should not do it, what if I am caught, he will grill me on charcoal, , he thought to himself and averted his gaze from the sword and cleaned the table once more, he was about to walk out, when he turned around,
well, it's just one touch, he would not know, if I put it back before he comes in, he thought again and walked towards the sword and picked it up.
"Woah, it's more heavier then me , how does the General just swing it around like it does not weigh anything", Hyuk said out loud as he was trying to lift up the sword.
"Oh let's see".. Hyuk looked around and coughed in a little heavier voice.
Uhmm, uhmm.
"Hyuk, how dare you run away, huh", Hyuk imitated the General as he tried to handle the sword.
"How dare you, I will chop off your neck if you make a mistake".
"Hyuk, I will eat you alive"..
"Hyuk, Hyuk, Hyuk, Hyuk".
"Hyuk, I am going to eat your cheeks now", Hyuk imitated him as he swung the sword back and turned around.
To only find himself hanging the sword on the General's Neck.
"Hyuk, are you trying to kill me", this time the general asked in an intimidating voice scaring Hyuk , making the sword fall off from his hands.
"Sorry, General, I am really sorry, I didn't mean to", Hyuk pleaded in a loud voice.
"If you were not trying to kill me, what were you doing then, why did you attack me, that too with my own sword", the General asked again as he picked up his sword.
"I.. I just wanted to touch it, I am sorry, it will never happen again", Hyuk screamed horrified.
"Even if you apologize, you still have to be punished for your mistake otherwise this incident will set a bad example for other people", The General said in a serious voice.
"Are you going to kill me", Hyuk asked terrified.
"No, that's not it , Dying is too easy of a punishment for the crime you have commited, come here", the General said urging Hyuk to come close to him.
"Are you going to eat me?", Hyuk asked at the verge of tears.
"Yes, now come here". The General said once again.
"No, no, no I am not tasty, I am very salty without any sweetness and I.. I taste like rotten meat"... Hyuk said almost crying.
"I like rotten meat, now come here before I come to you". The General ordered.
Hyuk looked at him with pitiful eyes and walked towards him.
"Okay, please take a little bite", Hyuk pleaded while crying.
The general looked at his pretty face for a moment with a small grin on his face and bit Hyuk's cheek roughly.
"Awww", Hyuk cried.
"Okay, that's it", the General said before giving a soft lick on Hyuk's cheek.
"Thank you for showing mercy on me", Hyuk yelled out and ran out of the room as a blush crept up his neck and ears.
"That was scary". He said, running as fast as he could.
"That was fun", the general grinned as he shook his head and started eating his dinner.
