"To your previous question, I am a vampire, or rather, I am the Vampire Lord."
"And yes, I was in that coffin. I was sealed there years ago," he added as if he could read the girl's thoughts, anticipating the exact question she was about to ask.
,, A Vampire!''
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Curiosity sparkled in Kaito's eyes as he addressed the captivating girl before him, "Why are you so surprised?" he inquired. "Surely your clan must have extensive records about my lineage, passed down through generations," he added.
The girl was momentarily taken aback by his knowledge of her clan's origins.
Yet, her surprise waned as memories stirred within her, memories of a time when her clan, famed for their lush green locks and piercing amber eyes, thrived, renowned for their powerful kekkai genkai.
How long had it been since she dwelled on her clan?
Quite some time had passed since the tragic day when her entire clan was ruthlessly slaughtered, prompting her to suppress and bury all thoughts of it.
Hunted relentlessly by countless ninjas and villages, she endured as the sole survivor of her once-proud lineage. Now she alone carried the weight of her kekkai genkai, a unique power exclusive to her clan: the manipulation of time.
Although everyone in her clan possessed this power, not everyone could master this power.
It demanded not only exceptional talent but also an extraordinary reservoir of chakra, a resource not abundantly available to all, along with finesse in control.
Countless perished in their pursuit, succumbing during training or endeavors to harness its might. Some fell due to their scant chakra reserves, drained as the power consumed their life force.
Yet, she emerged as one of the select few who attained mastery over a fraction of this formidable force.
But, she harbored a fatal flaw that hindered her from fully unlocking this power: her limited chakra reserve.
No matter how diligently she strived to overcome this obstacle, she could not transcend this inherent limitation. It was this very flaw that prevented her from vanquishing the ten ninjas.
Initially gaining the upper hand in battle, she utilized her power to immobilize and dispatch several of the ninjas, depleting a significant portion of her chakra and vitality. Her train of thought was interrupted by the Vampire Lord's inquiry.
''So, have you reached a decision? Will you embrace this power and join the ranks of the vampires, or do you wish to remain human?"
"If you choose the latter, I shall grant you wealth sufficient to live comfortably for the remainder of your days," he proposed.
Furthermore, he cautioned, "Be aware, once you become a vampire, there is no turning back. Reflect upon your choice carefully. I do not wish to hear of regrets, a common sentiment among your kind."
The girl appeared lost in contemplation. While she noticed his somewhat disdainful tone towards humans, she considered it fruitless to engage in discourse regarding his views or the reasons behind his dominion over humans.
'Do I truly desire to become a vampire? What does it even mean to be one?' The young woman pondered, frustration flickering in her eyes.
'My clan's texts offered so little on the matter… and how can I possibly recall such details amidst the countless teachings and duties expected of the clan leader's daughter? I digress... But all of that is in the past now'. She paused, shaking her head.
'But why am I even thinking about this? It isn't possible… right? Aren't vampires just myths? They can't actually exist… can they?' The young girl's thoughts spiraled as she glanced at the man before her. His serious expression, however, cut her internal debate short.
After a moment, she asked in a small voice, "You can really give me power?"
She didn't care if he was a vampire or not. If he could grant her the power she longed for, then that was a different matter entirely.
Kaito regarded her with an expression of disbelief, as if she were an idiot. After a few seconds, he sighed and replied to her question.
"Yes. Even if I don't like it, you freed me from that seal, and I promised you. If you remember, I told you I'd grant you power. I may be many things, but I am not a liar."
"I don't break promises if I can help it. Unlike humans, who say one thing and do another, we vampires uphold our word—even if it's inconvenient for us."
"Then what is it like to be a vampire? No, I mean… what are the advantages and disadvantages? I know a few things, but I would like to hear some things from you to get a clear picture before making my decision."
Her voice was soft, hesitant, but her resolve shone through as she waited for his response.
She couldn't quite wrap her head around this enigmatic man. While he had been kind enough to answer some of her questions, she couldn't begin to understand his true motives.
He was shrouded in mystery, and the more she thought about him, the more questions arose.
Why had he been sealed away? Who had the power—or the reason—to do such a thing?
And, most importantly, what had he done to deserve such a punishment?
The unanswered questions gnawed at her, tempting her to press him for answers. But deep down, she doubted he would reveal much.
There was a guardedness to him, an underlying disdain that seemed to color his view of the world. He had saved her, yes, but she had noticed something peculiar—his attitude toward humans.
He clearly didn't think highly of them. His words and tone had hinted at contempt, as if he viewed humans as inferior or troublesome.
And yet, strangely, his actions toward her seemed different. Despite being human herself, he treated her with a measure of respect—or at least, better than he might treat others of her kind.
However, it's not like she knows or has seen how he would treat other humans.
Maybe it's just her imagination, or maybe he treats her better because she freed him?
Before she could think any further, she heard him clear his throat and cough a bit to get her attention before he began to explain.
"As you already know, there are significant differences between humans—whether shinobi or non-shinobi—and vampires," he began, his tone calm and measured.
He went on to explain what she already knew: that vampires were faster than humans, physically superior in every way, and capable of healing from wounds at an extraordinary rate.
These were things she had read about in her clan's ancient texts, so she nodded along, her expression unchanged.
But then, his explanation took a turn, and her focus sharpened as he delved deeper into the history of vampires.
"I assume the book you read did not mention the origin of vampires...?" he asked, tilting his head slightly as his piercing gaze settled on her.
The young girl, with her striking green hair cascading over her shoulders, hesitated before shaking her head.
The texts had been vague, providing little more than cryptic hints and half-formed stories.
A faint smirk tugged at the corners of his lips, and with a quiet sigh, he leaned back in his seat, crossing his legs in one fluid motion.
"I thought as much," he said, a hint of satisfaction in his tone.
"Vampires do not originate from this world," he continued, his voice taking on a deeper, almost reverent quality.
"Not from this universe, to be precise. Vampires hail from a distant place—a universe so far removed from yours that its existence is but a whisper in the void of creation. And," he added, his azure eyes glinting in the dim light,
"I am the only vampire in this world."
His words hung in the air, heavy with meaning, as the girl processed this revelation.
She had assumed vampires were a natural part of the world's hidden fabric, just as the shinobi clans and their ancient traditions were. To hear that they were alien, otherworldly… it shook her understanding of the world she thought she knew.
She studied him closely, trying to discern the truth behind his words. His posture was relaxed, but there was an intensity to him—a quiet pride, almost.
She realized, perhaps for the first time, just how isolated he must feel, the last of his kind in an unfamiliar world.
"How did you come here?" she finally asked, her voice barely above a whisper. But he merely smiled, a cryptic expression that offered no answers.

Hi everyone, how are you?
What do you think of the book so far =) ?
Any suggestions for the plot and powers?
I'm planning to introduce three other original characters into this story. I'm unsure about the powers for one of them, so I'd appreciate your ideas.
