Chapter 1 - Prologue - I Got Kissed Intimately By a Truck

"AH WHAT THE HECK?!" I shouted for the 23rd time today.

My name is Rez, a normal 26 year old guy who works at a trading company.

For years, work has kept me incredibly busy.

I didn't mean to be fussy about my life but a guy just can't help feeling a little bored, doing the same old work everyday.

Fortunately for me, I have at least one hobby that kept me alive all this time, that is – reading novels.

By the way, I'd been reading this one good web novel for 2 years.

It's a fantasy story about two princes fighting for territory to decide who'll be the future king. This masterpiece was titled, 'While Wearing this Mask of Rivalry'.

The two princes originally got along really well, but after the king made the two fight for their place on the throne, the princes ended up always at each other's throats. The divided noble factions didn't help the matter either, since they kept on making many unnecessary conflicts between the two factions for no concrete reason. Even though the princes still cared for each other's well being, they can never show that loving side to the other, resulting in both of them thinking that the other hated them.

The fight between them kept on going until the day of the last duel between the two princes arrived. It was decided that the two princes were going to fight it out in the kingdom's martial arts tournament.

A bunch of things happened and they finally had their overdue brotherly talk and confessed to each other that they were tired of all these pointless fights and whatever happens in the duel tomorrow, they will always be brothers.

Actually, today was the day the last chapter was uploaded and I,

of course, was very excited to see the beautiful ending filled with brotherly love and fluff,

BUT-

BUT THE AUTHOR! THE AUTHOR!

ARGHHHHH CURSE YOU AUHOOOOOR!

In the last chapter, the first prince ended up winning, thus the king named him the future king. The second prince was happy for his brother and was glad that everything is finally over. At the celebration banquet for the first prince's ascension as the new king, the two brothers shared a toast to each other.

The two drank happily until suddenly, the second prince started coughing blood. Apparently the first prince has poisoned his brother's drink.

As the second prince kept coughing and gasping for air, the first prince calmly sipped his drink and said, "I really love you, brother. I really do. But unfortunately, I love my position as the king even more."

The first prince set down his drink and smiled sweetly at his dying brother, "Since you love me so much, you wouldn't mind dying for me and the future of the country would you?"

And then he turned his back away from his now dead brother and started laughing like a maniac as he left the room.

THE END.

...

Now do you understand my frustration?!

I, Rez, just can't help but curse non-stop the whole way home. My whole day was wrecked with extreme bad mood.

This is God's punishment for sneakily reading a web-novel when I'm supposed to work diligently in the office.

After cursing the author for the 47th time, I finally noticed that I didn't recognize my surroundings.

Sigh, this is bad. Where is this again?

I've always been kind of bad at directions but this time,

I was really,

and completely,

lost.

I tried opening my phone to check where I am but the signal suck, so I slipped my phone back to into my pockets.

The whole area was quiet and empty, with only some dim outdoor lamps to light my way forward.

Seeing as it's already around 11 p.m. right now, every store in these area already closed their door.

I cursed under my breath and decided to wander aimlessly yet again, trying to find someone to show me the way back.

After around 30 minutes wandering around, I finally found a lit up building.

It's a 24-hour minimart, located in a gas station.

Letting out a breath of relief, I started walking towards the building, hoping to ask someone for directions and maybe buy some coffee to cheer myself up.

As I walked slowly to the building, suddenly a bright light sped towards me.

Shocked and blinded, instead of walking faster down the street,

I stopped and hid my face with my arms to block the light.

And then, I died.
