Chapter 22 - Chapter 22 Mirror Space: The Ultimate Game EDITED

Kaito's Mangekyo Sharingan possessed unique abilities in both eyes, each granting him unparalleled power. His right eye housed a technique known as God's Presence, allowing him to perceive space instantly and teleport anywhere within his line of sight or perception. This ability had no cooldown, and its chakra and pupil power consumption were remarkably low, enabling Kaito to use it freely in battle without concern.

His left eye, however, held an even more formidable power: Mirror Space. This technique defied conventional limits, resembling the abilities from Doctor Strange in Kaito's previous life but surpassing them in strength. True to its name, Mirror Space could construct a separate dimension based on reality, one that had no direct impact on the real world.

Kaito wielded absolute control within this space, manipulating its size, shape, fundamental particles, space, and even time. However, utilizing this ability required immense chakra and pupil power, with the cost varying based on the extent of the alterations.

The reason Obito couldn't fully escape from the space was due to Mirror Space's restrictions. Only Kaito possessed the ability to enter and exit at will. Unless Obito could shatter the Mirror Space or wait for Kaito's chakra and pupil power to deplete, he was trapped. Breaking through required strength on par with the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. This limitation stemmed from Kaito's current chakra level, which was only at the early stage of Kage Rank. However, as his power grew, so too would the stability and potency of Mirror Space.

Long before the Uchiha clan extermination plan was set into motion, Kaito had already laid the foundation for his strategy. He constructed a Mirror Space centered around the entire Uchiha clan, subtly transporting everyone within it—including outsiders who entered—into the alternate dimension. Even Obito had been unknowingly drawn in. This allowed Kaito to observe all actions within the clan and ensure its safety. To prevent interference, he divided Mirror Space into three sections, shielding the clan while allowing the outside world only vague perceptions of spatial distortions. Thus, even Sarutobi Hiruzen and the others remained unaware of the true extent of his abilities.

Kaito gazed at the tense quintet before him and spoke slowly, his voice carrying an air of finality. "Let's play a game." His Sharingan gleamed ominously. "I've divided this space into three sections to ensure no outside interference. If you manage to defeat me, I'll leave Konoha with my clan. But if I win… your lives, along with those of your subordinates, will belong to me."

Danzo scoffed, his expression a mix of disdain and impatience. "Tch, arrogant brat. You think you can just dictate the terms? You're not leaving here alive."

Kaito smirked, unfazed. "In this world, whenever I wish, I can enter and exit at will. You truly believe you can trap me?"

Danzo's glare darkened, but before he could retort, Hiruzen Sarutobi raised a hand. "Enough. He's stalling for time. We don't know what he's planning, but the longer we wait, the more dangerous this becomes. Attack—now!"

The five exchanged brief glances before launching a synchronized assault, attacking Kaito from all directions.

"The final movement before the curtain rises." Kaito's voice was barely above a whisper as he vanished. In an instant, he reappeared beside Itachi, blade flashing. But Itachi had already activated his Sharingan, reacting the moment Kaito materialized. His sword intercepted Kaito's strike with practiced precision.

"Impressive as always, Itachi," Kaito murmured, his smile widening. But Itachi wasted no time in idle conversation, swiftly retreating to avoid a follow-up strike.

"Fire Release: Fireball Jutsu!" Fugaku's voice rang out as he unleashed a massive fireball at Kaito. The searing flames roared forward, but Kaito didn't bother evading. Channeling chakra into his blade, he cleaved the fireball in half with a single, effortless stroke.

As Kaito engaged Fugaku and Itachi, Danzo seized the opening and lunged with kunai. His Izanagi had yet to expire, granting him temporary immortality. His plan was clear—entangle Kaito in close combat to create an opportunity for the others to strike.

But Kaito wasn't fooled.

Utilizing God's Presence, he instantly disengaged from Fugaku and Itachi, teleporting out of Danzo's reach. Their gazes met for a split second, an unspoken understanding passing between them. In that fleeting moment, Kaito's Sharingan pulsed with a subtle glow.

Then—he reappeared before Hiruzen Sarutobi, his true target for today's battle.

The fight had only just begun.
