A deep frown crossed Avery's face when she saw the text Sebastian sent. It took every fiber of her not to throw the phone. This was the very first time Sebastian would decide not to sleep at home. She flipped her back on her lap, maintaining a composed expression, but it seemed Mrs. Piper sensed something was wrong with her.
"Are you okay?" Mrs. Piper asked in a worried tone.
Avery tilted her head to one side, trying to mask her unease with a smile and it worked.
"I was just thinking about something," Avery answered and tucked some strands of hair beside her ear.
"I know you will do well today, and I must say you did well today, Avery. At this rate, I won't be shocked if the CEO wants you to travel to the state." Mrs. Piper explained, praising Avery.
"I owe it all to you, let me say it was because of your strict side," Avery said and Mrs. Piper couldn't help but smile.
