"Won't you look at where you are walking too?"
Sebastian's voice broke through Avery's daze, pulling her out of her thoughts as she looked up apologetically. His words sharp and simple.
She had to admit that he was tall, but Avery wasn't in the mood to stay alone in the room today. She was bored as well.
"I was looking, but you were too tall for me to notice that it wasn't a wall. Apologies, Mr. Sebastian," Avery said with sarcasm. She applauded her bravery. She hadn't stuttered or fidgeted.
Sebastian looked at Avery, taking in her appearance. With her face void of makeup, she looks like a morning star.
"I guess you are in a good mood today because last night you were so scared like a starved kitten that was at the point of death," Sebastian replied, and it was Avery's turn to be tongue-tied.
"Did he just compare me to a starved kitten?"
"Did he just try to joke with me?
