Sebastian's laughter could be heard throughout the street. He wasn't even trying to suppress it; he had too much fun.
The bodies of the would-be robbers lie around him, their blood staining the ground. His undead minions stood motionless around the scene. Unblinking, unbothered, unemotional.
"Well, that was entertaining," Sebastian said, wiping a speck of blood from his cheek. "I suppose I should thank them for brightening up my day."
He surveyed the scene, counting the bodies. A frown creased his brow because there was something he didn't like.
"One, two, three, four..." Sebastian said. He sighed. "Fucking Jerry ran off…"
He scanned the area, searching for the missing robber. There was no trace of him around.
"Ah, clever little rat." A grin spread across his face. "You scurried away while your friends played, though."
However, the rune master knew where the man fled—the Refuge was the only logical destination.
