The Echo Revenant turned its sight on the new creatures. It wasn't fooled by the illusions, of course, and that was why Sebastian didn't even try to fool it. There was nothing the illusions could do against the Echo Revenant from that point of view.
Quickly something stirred inside the creature's mind: the need to munch on the meat of some juicy, and most importantly, larger prey.
With a bone-chilling shriek, it changed target, gliding towards the reptilian creatures with terrifying speed and ravenous hunger.
Sebastian watched in a mixture of relief and amusement as the Echo Revenant descended over the Thornjaw Strikers.
"Oh boy," he said, "I almost feel bad for those scaly bastards. Almost."
The scene that unfolded was one of pure carnage. The Echo Revenant tore through the Thornjaw Strikers like they were made of paper.
