But despite having achieved this, and earned enough mana to get the materials he needed to fix both the chariot and the ballista, he still hadn't found a way to get on top of those damn walls.
Originally, Sebastian wanted to get a flying fanged. Even a small one could help him drop ropes over the walls.
Indeed, he got one of such creatures, but it had been killed. The Vexvine was relatively idle within the walls, even more on the ground, unless something was stupid enough to trigger it. But on top of the walls, it was weirdly active.
