"Hey," the woman said, looking at Sebastian.
"W—what?"
Sebastian felt close to sinking into unconsciousness as he slumped in the chair. His head drooped weakly, and his fingers clutched the armrests for support.
Every breath seemed laborious as exhaustion coursed through his limbs. To use that much mana had been clearly a bad idea.
Anna crouched beside him. "Raigos," she said. "There is a place I wish to bring you."
Sebastian lifted his head with obvious effort. "Where?" he asked in a hoarse voice.
"It's a secret," Anna said with a soft but gaunt smile. "I will help you get there."
A weak chuckle escaped Sebastian's lips. "If it involves a feather bed and a week's worth of roast boar, lead the way, milady."
He chuckled again, but with some effort. "If not... well, let's just say I'm not sure how much more 'surprising' this day can get."
To that, even Anna laughed.
