Sebastian waited for the right moment to go upstairs, his heart pounding in his chest, a little because of fear, a little because of excitement.
He stood still before the staircase, listening for any sound of the fanged creature.
"It's almost time."
He was hearing the sounds made by the creature as it reached the middle of the building.
From there, he would have around 4 minutes and a half to check every room.
But he had to time this well. If he rushed upstairs when the monster just searched around on the left wing, he would gain a minute and a half more, hence the 4 minutes available from the three.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the sounds of the monster became stronger.
"It's here!"
Sebastian knew this was his chance. He took a deep breath and sprinted upstairs, his undead minions close behind him.
If Rebecca was injured, or if there were many people, he would need their help.
