Sebastian felt a surge of anger rise within him as he processed Derrick's words. Sending Rebecca and her party outside the citadel's safe area meant almost certain death.

He clenched his fists behind his back, but kept his expression calm.

"That is quite the journey," Sebastian said.

The two talked a little more, and Sebastian got all the information he needed to reach the ruins.

"Thank you for the information, then. It was a pleasure to work with you."

"Likewise," Derrick said.

Sebastian stood up from the chair.

Derrick smiled, not noticing Sebastian's inner turmoil. "Any time. Best of luck in your search."

Sebastian nodded politely. "Farewell." He turned and made his way through the crowded tavern, his undead minions following closely behind.

Sebastian couldn't see it, but the tavern owner's expression had shifted from smiling to dark, a cruel sneer spreading across his face.
