A hollow feeling crept through Sebastian's body as he stared down at Leo's dead form.

Leo was an able fighter, always vigilant and ready to help his comrades; always careful about when, where, and what he fought, had met his end here in this desolate place. It didn't seem real.

Sebastian reached out, grasping Leo's limp wrist to understand when he died.

The body was still warm, meaning he was killed recently. Skin and flesh had lost temperature a little, but the warmth of the body could still be felt.

Sebastian stood up stiffly and looked around the wreckage, hoping to find the Marrowghast sentinels who killed Leo, but he was alone. Whatever killed Leo moved away from the area.

No skittering monsters lurked near to finish what had been started. For the moment, an eerie stillness had fallen over the ancient structures.
