Levi accompanied with Azazel arrived at the unusual gathering eager to know its cause. They forced themselves into the crowd and sighted a person standing in the center. He seemed to be the orchestrator of the gathering.
"Looking for members for your group? Join us now, and pick a perfect one from this social assembly," he echoed and reiterated.
Levi now intrigued, pushed himself further and saw 4 other seated individuals. They sat comfortably and looked overpowering.
"I guess he's gotten all his group members. How long was I asleep," he thought, forcefully placing himself in front of others to get a better view.
"They are all guys though."
He turned backward, searching for Azazel who was lost in the crowd. Levi found him effortlessly upon sighting an unusual space in the crowd.
It seemed that Azazel's gloomy and overpowering aura had been noticed and feared by others.
Levi quickly grabbed onto his hold and signaled him to pace toward the front of the spectating crowd. The two watched the boy engage the crowd in an exciting conversation that would trigger their effective participation.
"Let's grab this opportunity, and find new members," Levi whispered to Azazel.
"What about this guy?" Azazel responded.
He secretively pointed his finger at a young boy who stood in the distance, wearing a white robe and a piece of cloth tied to his forehead.
His eyes had a tone of blue as he smiled boisterously, brimming with life and adventure. Upon seeing him, Levi had concluded that he would partner with him.
In his eyes, it was fit to add someone who would lift the spirit of others to his group. Immediately, the two walked to him, ignoring the words of the speaker whose speech was yet to be concluded.
Whilst walking slowly towards him, they noticed his head slightly tilt to their location. He watched them approach him but returned their acts with a kind expression - a smile.
"He would be a good fit to lighten the moods of others," Azazel thought.
Azazel then placed his hands on Levi's shoulders notifying him that the boy had noticed their intentions. He then advised him to quickly converse with him.
Levi immediately waved his hand at him and slowly approached him. He stood, smiling at them, and said,
"I know you want me to join you. I'm David Ryker, but call me Dave."
Upon hearing his words, Levi was surprised but Azazel seemed conversant with such a phenomenon.
"Such talents these people have," Levi thought as he extended his hand for a handshake.
"So, does that mean you'll join me?" He asked, awaiting an affirmative response.
Dave slowly stepped back and walked away. His actions were a puzzle to Levi because he had walked away unresponsive.
In addition, Levi's arms still hung in the air awaiting the warm contact of another palm.
Dave then turned his head back towards Levi and let out a grin.
"Don't worry, it's a yes. I'll even help you to get more members," he stated, waving his hands from afar.
The remaining group of two, Levi and Azazel ventured out seeking a potential additional member. They slowly walked backward, and immediately got lost.
They pushed their way through, getting hit and brutally maltreated by the surrounding people.
As they found the exit of the crowd, they readily escaped, stared, and awed at the immense number of people present in the crowd.
"Okay, that's all" the voice of a male echoed.
Suddenly, the crowd dispersed. Some quickly began conversations, as others went their separate ways.
Levi and Azazel looked at the dispersing crowd sadly, knowing their regrettable action of forcing themselves out. They would rather have waited patiently in expectance of the closure of his speech.
But amidst their regret, one thing proved beneficial - the dispersing movement of the crowd. Their movement sparked Azazel's interest and immediately implanted an idea in his mind.
"Let's go our separate ways and search for new members individually," he said, slowly stepping away from Levi.
In response, Levi answered affirmatively, "Okay, that's nice."
The area of assembly soon became spotless, and as such quietness followed. Not a single soul resided, and more people completed their group of 5 members.
The number of people present in the Waiting Room slowly declined, signifying the end of the pre-mission.
"I don't have much time. More people are going back to the real world for their next mission," Levi thought, as he wondered aimlessly in search of a new member.
"I'll make it a female. What's a crew without a mix of personalities and varieties?" he asked rhetorically.
A few moments later, he crossed paths with a young woman, roughly his age. Her hair flowed from her scalp to the very end of her back.
"Who's this," Levi asked, plunged into confusion by her sudden appearance.
Her appearance was sudden; dropping suddenly from the sky and obstructing Levi's view signifying her strength.
Her appearance proved her weak power, as it had taken her an interesting amount of time to completely demolish the demons.
"That means some people are still fighting demons."
He swiftly stepped back, signaling the girl. Her hair swayed from side to side, like the tides of an ocean. Following her silky hair was a face, bruised from battle.
Upon seeing that, Levi was immediately taken aback and forced to contemplate the strength of the demons she had faced. He extended his arms, with a clear intent to comfort her.
But, a strange phenomenon occurred.
She fell to the floor, lifeless and disfigured. His eyes rotated on seeing the body of a mate being reduced to a punching bag. His fear of her death escalated, and he immediately attempted to grab her.
"Ahh!"
He screamed in shock and pain and was pushed away from her. On his fingertips, he felt the lingering sting of electricity. Every inch of his body vibrated, but he proved fearless and reacted.
He placed his arms and firmly grabbed hers. He then pulled her away to a corner for her to rest till the arrival of Azazel and Dave.
"I don't even know her name and her abilities, but I'm sure she'll end up being in my group," he thought, seeing others slowly disappear upon completion of forming their groups.
