"You… Why didn't you take care of yourself? Whenever I am not around, you turn yourself into a workaholic, you don't rest, you don't take care of your health…", Delilah sobbed.
Chen Xiao patted her head with his left hand and a fatherly smile adorned his face," You have every right to be mad at me, I'm sorry", he apologized, Delilah embraced him and wept.
"It is fine now, come on Delilah, don't be a crybaby", Chen Xiao coaxed her.
"You made me this way…", Delilah sniffed as she parted from his embrace.
"I'll go get you a glass of milk ", after saying this, Delilah left the room and Rigby followed.
Soon, Delilah returned but not with a glass of milk, there were two maids with a tray of nutritious dishes in their hands.
Turns out a glass of milk became a feast to remember. After feeding her father to her heart's content, she left his room with Rigby while Old madam Chen took her position in taking care of him.
After dinner and feeding Rigby, she went to her room to bathe for Rigby after she was sure her dad was fast asleep and not sneakily working, she groomed Rigby and took her bath before hopping onto the large princess bed when she was done with her homework.
★ 12:15 am★
Delilah kept turning on the bed seemly restless, she couldn't sleep.
"Argh!" she groans frustrated and sat on the bed so did Rigby with its ears perked up.
Delilah sighed, "Let's go Rigby", she pulled away the quilt and put on her slippers, she took her phone, wore a robe and left the room.
When she was little and couldn't sleep on a night like this, she'll go to the attic and count the stars until she gets bored and fell asleep in her sleeping bag.
Delilah entered the attic, normal attics will be dark and eerie filled with weird stuffs but when she switched on the lights, the place looked like a princess's room.
Actually, her father found out about Delilah sleeping in the attic. He then decided to turn the attic into a room for her, with a bed, a bookshelf, a reading table with a lamp on it and two beanbags in case Chen Lian Bo comes visiting.
Delilah walked to the wardrobe, the room looked tidy and clean, but she still needed a blanket and pillows, she opened the wardrobe to bring out the blanket, but it seemed it was stuck.
She frowned and began to tug on the blanket, she pulled so hard that the wardrobe was shaking, then,
BANG!
A box fell on her head and she passed out instantly.
THUD!- Delilah fell to the ground, unconscious.
