Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

POV - Judas

We are now back in the living room waiting for my uncle to return. I decade that now would be a good time to ask a question that has been in my heart since I learned where I was.

"Why is it that you believe that God isn't dead when you say what is happening to me is impossible in his system." I ask hoping that maybe it is revealed later than what I watched in DxD that God is actually alive and just recovering or something.

Salas takes a moment before giving his answer. "God is possibly the strongest being in creation. His only rivals would be the two Dragon Gods and they haven't appeared since the star of creation. They mainly reside in a place called the infinite gap and barely ever leave it."

I already know that for the most part. I know Ophis is in charge of her own faction in the series and seeks to take the infinite gap back from the Dragon of Dreams.

"God's most recent appearance was in the war between the 3 factions where he came down to suppress the 2 heavenly dragons. After that God killed the Four Satan's and returned to heaven." He finishes.

Ya, but according to my knowledge God dies in that battle because he was weakened from sealing Trihexa and suppressing the Heavenly Dragons.

"Alright." I start. "What if God was somehow really weak? Is it possible that he could of died?"

"Like I said there is nothing in the world that can weaken God except the 2 Dragon Gods." He said. "But, even if he was weakened it would be impossible for the original Four Satans to kill him if he didn't want it to happen."

"For what reason could God ever want to be killed?" I ask confused and hopeful that this might be the case.

"Well, If he was planning something big he might want to lie low to accomplish it, or he might of foreseen his death as the greatest path for humanity. He did love us far to much."

Before I could ask another question he continued.

"There are three possible reasons you have gone from being a devil to a fallen.

One, God is dead and or in hiding plotting something and control over the heavenly system has diminished greatly. Two, There is some flaw in God's system that allows you to repent and reverse the process of falling from grace without him knowing. Three, God has chosen you for something and has allowed you to repent." Salas looked to be in deep thought and then he continued.

"If the answer is one then, and God is dead there would be far more chaos in the world then there is right now. If the answer is two or three you can just continue living your life as is, as you already follow God. But, if the answer is both one and three, and God faked his death to plot something with you as a piece of his plot then I have to be careful to not get caught up in it, while you once again can just follow God's plan for you."

Salas looks around suspiciously for a second before shrugging his shoulders. "If I am really a part of this conspiracy of God's then there is nothing I can do."

I take a moment to think about everything he said. My only hope is that DxD was wrong and God is still alive plotting something that has to do with me.

It makes sense for him to still be alive. After all, DxD was an anime in my past life, and this very much real world is definitely somewhat different from it.

If God is using me as part of a greater conspiracy it would explain my rebirth. I doubt there are many people in this world who can pull a soul from another universe. There's also the fact that I was reborn as a devil and just so happened to end up in a loving Christian family. Why would whoever brought me here have me follow the path of God if they went through the effort of bringing me here.

There's also the fact that besides God seemingly only Michael can control the heavenly system. So if this is all another beings' plot they would have to either find a way to control the system or Michael is working with them. But Michael would fall if he did something like that and if another person messed with God's system Michael would most probably know about it.

Michael is powerful enough to lead heaven in God's absence, there's no way he wouldn't notice someone tampering with it.

Hearing a banging at the door brings me out of my thoughts. I watch as Salas grumbles about how he should have actually created magic doors and walk over to let my uncle in.

Standing up I walk over to the door ready to greet my uncle and go home to rest.

I see my uncle walk in look around the room and then have his eyes land on me.

"Who the fuck are you."

Well. I guess him censoring himself on the car ride here was because I was a kid, and not the fact that he is an exorcist.

"Hello uncle." I greet him.

It takes a moment of looking at the shit eating grin on Salas's face and then looking back at me to understand that I was in fact his nephew.

"How." he starts. "Why are you in your late teens now." He finishes looking directly at me for an answer.

Freezing because I genuinely don't know how to answer his question Salas speaks up.

"You and your father are fools," Salas says with a smile still on his face. "You just gave up the wizard with the most potential I have ever seen just because you guys didn't want to be accused of nepotism by your fellow clergymen." he says laughing now.

I just stood still hoping my uncle would buy it.

"Judas." I look towards Salas. "Use my magic matrix and show your uncle how much of a fool he has been."

Trusting Salas I make a ball of light appear in my hand and then toss it to my uncle who catches it in shock.

"Middle-Class" I hear him whisper. "It's only been three hours and you have reached Middle-Class."

I see him put on a bitter smile. "I knew I should of kept trying to convince dad to just ask an angel to undo your seal." he says with a sigh.

'Thank God you didn't' I can't help but think.

Looking directly at me now my uncle says "Salas has taken you as his student then. That is both good and bad for you. It does explain this growth spurt of yours though."

'It does?' I think looking at Salas for help.

"I have things to do." Salas says. "Why don't you have this chat of yours on the way home."

My uncle looks at him and then starts walking to the door while motioning for me to follow with a stern expression.

As we leave the building I hear Salas say one final thing.

"Three days from now you should have dealt with all you need to. I expect you to be back here then."
