Blaze's pov
Eugene's confession had taken me aback, rendering me confused. That was the last person I expected to be involved in this entire situation.
As I stared at him, I took in the bleeding which was starting to slow down since he was a vampire and was undoubtedly already healing.
I leaned forward moments later, not missing the confused look of disbelief painted across Jules' face.
"What?" I demanded and I watched as Eugene's eyes darted around for a moment. He coughed out a bit of blood at first as he tried to speak.
"I'm not lying, I swear." He continued and I scoffed.
"Eugene, you had better give me a detailed explanation right now." I snapped, watching as he jolted, wincing in pain and choking on blood once again.
"Your father a- asked me to get him and keep him here, t- that he was gonna come get him from me." Eugene continued. So far, what he was saying didn't add up.
