"There's a protective spell over him." Labyrinth suddenly called out from the other side of the room and I struggled to concentrate on what he was saying since I was basically trying to evade the sharp edge of my uncle's sword swinging at me at every given moment.
"The fuck?" I panted, and why a single hit of mine wasn't getting to him suddenly made more sense.
I let out a loud breath. My entire side was hurting and I was even bleeding a little. In my current state, I stood no chance against him and I knew that shifting into my true form would provide a better chance for me at me winning this fight.
"Can you get the spell off him?" I called out to my mate who was clearly thinking hard when I managed to glance at him.
I knew I didn't want him to be in from the onset, but now that he was here, I had to silently thank the heavens that he kept insisting on being present with me here.
