My heart was racing so fast that I could hear it In my ears as I exhaled a shaky breath. The entrance of the lair seemed like it was mocking me at this point because I've been standing out here for minutes now.
I sucked in a deep breath for strength, and then I tentatively walked into the cave. I reminded myself that he was yet to growl at me, and I reminded myself that he definitely know that I was coming in right now since he must have definitely smelt me. That's a great sign, right?
I kept my eyes wide open, but it was completely pitch black inside the large cave which made it impossible for me to see anything.
I willed upon a ball of sunlight on my upturned palm which instantly brightened everywhere up. I kept staring sideways as I kept walking deeper into the cave, because I was scared of encountering something else in here.
