Labyrinth felt numb all over.
His eyes were open but he wasn't seeing anything. He couldn't even register the tears leaking out of the sides of his eyes. Hearing that his mate was dead was the most shocking news ever, one he didn't see coming.
Blaze's father had gloated proudly as he went ahead to explain how he was the one who took Blaze's life and how it felt really good. Then he went ahead to explain how he had always wanted to do that since Blaze was a child.
Labyrinth felt his entire heart break as he listened to that and he felt his entire life come to a stand still before his eyes. He felt numb all the way to his heart that he couldn't even find the strength in him to feel rage. All he could feel was numbness.
He suddenly didn't have the strength to fight either.
