Jules' pov

I touched Elio's cheek, feeling guilt swamp up my chest as I took in his pale, unconscious appearance. I was extremely thankful that he didn't end up dying, because if that happened, I really wouldn't have been able to forgive myself.

Elio had been operated on a few times since last night and now he's currently in a coma. The doctors said he was hanging on fine and should be up before the end of the week.

I wondered if we should contact his family members or not. Blaze advised against that, claiming his family members believed he was currently in school and that it was best they don't start worrying for him unnecessarily.

I stared at him for a moment longer before moving away from his bed and shoving my hands deep into the povkeys of the large hoodie I currently had on. Kim was the one who provided me with these clothes; he and Roy went to do a little shopping this morning.
